First Ever Table Tennis Patent Table!

Hi everyone

It was my birthday recently and I just wanted to share one of the gifts I received with ttdaily.

It's a poster of the patent for the first ever table tennis table in 1935 by Everett D. Kaser the inventor.

Hope you think it's as cool I did :)

Thanks for the share.

Even know, besides the actual drawing, I don't really understand all the writing.
This table looks no different (in terms of idea) to current tables.

I wonder if this patent is still valid, and the designer is getting millions from all the TT brands who is using a simliar design? lol

What an awesome birthday present! Thanks for sharing with us @lgreggs

I cannot find much on google about the inventor. This is something I would like to know more about. It looks brilliant!

I haven't checked the exact regulation but that table would be illegal (at national level) today as it doesn't allow for wheelchair access.
I think the legs have to be 18inches from the end of the table. In fact, even regular players would be banging their feet and knees against those legs.
