I just came back from a session with fake Tenergy, and I'm honestly really impressed. For my first day, I used it unboosted and it was good. I have a strong feeling it will actually be way better after boosting.

This rubber is much harder than real tenergy, it's like 50-52d. But I think it will feel nice after boosting. The topsheet is different than Tenergy, and it is more similar to Dignics 05 or D09c topsheet. It's much grippier than Tenergy and even slightly tacky. It's actually similar to Moon Speed topsheet, which I love. The spin is excellent, and it really grabs the ball well. The best point of this rubber is the looping. The looping is consistent and dangerous. Because of the great topsheet, pushing also feels really good and grippy.

The rebound and speed of the rubber on flat hits is quite fast, like a boosted H3. If you were to use it on FH, it would be quite enough. Since I want to use it on bh, I want to boost it to get just a bit more speed.

The only weird thing about the rubber is that the throw angle is a bit low. I hit a lot of flat bh shots into the net. Unless you are spinning every bh shot, you might have trouble with this rubber. But hopefully booster makes it better.

I will boost the rubber over the weekend and give you a update. But so far I am very optimistic.

I've played with it. Just a 2€ tractor tire molded into a rubber. Bad rubbers tend to feel good because you've expectations from them, the moment you expect something you realise it's bathroom floor lining that looks weird.

Can you record a video of some of your training topspin with this rubber? Interested in seeing it in action.

i think you really should test tenergy 05 on your blade to hold such strong claims. everyone i know that actually played tenergy and at one point bought a fake rubber for fun said it is just money thrown directly to the trash and they are really good players (that you must be to play something like tenergy 05 in actual leaguematches)

I will test it after it uncurls! I try my best to be totally objective and sinply give its characteristics: the rebound, the grip, the hardness, the arc

I'm guessing its a real proper TT rubber, just branded fakely.

This reminds me of a "Yasaka New Era" I bought many years ago off ebay. I still don't know to this day if it's really produced by Yasaka, or is a fake product that has no actual corresponding Yasaka product. And yet, I liked it so much I would buy it again if I was sure I'd get the same thing, not a fake of a fake. It played like a hard sponged Sriver.

New Era was a series of rubber made by a Chinese company but licensed by Yasaka. Same as Zap if anyone else remembers

TB is the first person I ever see do review of fake goods. It is a niche segment, who knows he may stumble his 1,000,000 views. I wish him all the best.

Although a review is always welcome, there is no reason to believe that if another person buys a fake Tenergy, that it will be the same, or even close in performance. Any Chinese manufacturer could make this rubber, and there is NO requirements on it's characteristics (apart from looking the same) and NO constraint on quality control, so limit your expectations. :)

yes possibly, but to be honest I have found Loki to be much more inconsistent than the 2 sheets of fake Tenergy I have gotten.

Loki has some sheets slow, some fast. Some seemingly boosted, some unboosted. Some with week bonding, some strong.

I really hate you Loki. But occasionally they put out some real winners, so they keep me interested

i guess when you have 10 reviews on fake tenergy, all 10 reviews will be very different to each other.
the only same part of the review would be the word fake :p

After a couple days and 2 layers of seamoon, I glued the fake Tenergy 05 onto a blade opposite boosted Target 90.

Tenergy has got a nice little rebound now, clearly a step bouncier than the boosted Target 90. Hopefully this also fixed the throw angle and it plays nice now. Will test it out later today.

I tested out the boosted fake Tenergy. The speed, grip, loop are all very nice. My bh loops are quite effective and lethal.

However, the throw angle is still low. It's kinda hard to do a good punch shot. You kinda need to do a loopy shot on every ball. I really really wish the throw angle was better, then I would love this rubber.

But throw angle is a big issue.
