Hi, I'm currently looking for a new Blade/Rubber combination for my teammate.
At the moment he is playin a TSP Balsa Fitter 6.5 with the darker outer plies (walnut?), FH a Tibhar Quantum X Pro in 2.0 and BH a Tibhar Evolution MX-P 50° Version in 1.9 mm. He has a German TTR rating of about 1780 points, his style is counter and block with some offensive shots if the ball is in the right position.
His current blade weights 79g, because of the hard rubbers and the missing mass he needs to work very hard to get some fast shots.
So my suggestion was to change to a classic Person Power Play (non Senso version) as it is quite stiff and should be suitable for blocking and counter balls.
FH (as he prefers a harder rubber on the BH) i would suggest a medium hard rubber, FX-P or EL-P in 1.9 mm (maybe also FX-S?). For BH I would suggest a harder rubber, MX-P as he already played the 50° Version.
Anybody who played any of these combinations and can share his/her expertise to find a suitable combination? We would like to stick with Tibhar and Donic as their blades are cheap and we still have to find the right stuff.
Thanks!
