Hi guys, I've seen the new Andro all-wood blades from their website.. do you have some experiences with them? e.g. Timber 5/7, Gauzy BL 5/7?
BL 5 is an excellent allround blade. Enough speed, but surely the emphasis is on feeling/"control".
I think it pairs well with rubbers like GTT 40/45 for beginners or Hexer Grip/PowerGrip or even Rasanter R47.
If you want some more power, go for Novacell.

Of the other ones mentioned I have not tried any.

I have a Novacell Off/S in my collection. It is a light, tiny blade with excellent balance. It has a massive spin potential and I would call it very user friendly when it comes to any kind of spinning the ball. It possesses plenty of power to smash and finish the point, meanwhile being not so bouncy. Definitely a keeper

So what kind of rubbers are you using with Novacell Off/S? Medium hard or hard?
I am kinda stuck between Novacell Off/S and Timber 5 Off. Especially wonder how they are doing with very hard rubbers, their performance at long distance rallies etc.

One of the main reasons I bought the Novacell(three blades) was its weight, a bit under 80g so l could use it with some heavier rubbers . On the FH I have tried Rakza Z, PK50, Rakza X, Rhyzer 50 while on the BH I had D05. All the above mentioned are anything but soft and they delivered the expected. Personally I preferred the RX and the Rhyzer . I kind a didn't like the RZ because of the very high throw achieved , although some may love it. PK50 was just perfect. Last but not least I should mention that among all my wooden (OFF) blades I had my best results with this one
I gave one of mine to an Ukrainian teenager together with Genesis 2 and VJ07 stiff and must say that it turned out to be one lovely "do it all" quite fast and spinny combination .
Of coarse I keep one (exactly 80g)for me when the All-Wood nostalgia strikes again.
Can't comment on the Timber, but must confess that I was seriously considering buying the Ligna TP OFF/S for the more speed offered

Well, these are good to know man. Thanks for taking time and sharing your observations.
And I think I can recommend you Andro TP Ligna CI, just so you know. Even if it is not an all wood blade, inner carbon layers might have kept the natural feeling and it should be fast I guess. I never tried it personally though.

BTW, I love playing with light, fast med-flex blades and that's why I keep on coming to my trusty balsa Hallmark Carbon Extreme, 4 of them each being 68g.(had 6) Unfortunately all these play completely different but I still have two favorites. Really bad QC coming out of a reputable English brand

I play with the Gauzy BL7. Very good blade paired with Yasaka Rakza 7 soft on both sides. That's my main blade. I started winning some matches losing closely. I like that it has good control and yet some good speed to finish the point. Loops well with the above combo too and the serves are spinny. I like its feel much better than carbon blades I can actually feel the ball and almost know how much brush I have imparted on the ball as soon as I hit it.
My blade weighs 90 gms and the bat with the rubbers weighs 183 gms.
