And as you can See, it is no Viscaria, but an Innerforce with a Viscaria like handle
Pardon my ignorance, so he is basically using a custom made blade for him by Butterfly?
Yes. Butterfly mostly uses Viscaria handles without lense for custom made bladesPardon my ignorance, so he is basically using a custom made blade for him by Butterfly?
yup koto ayous alc and kiri, but I show you this photo as first in the history. It was like 2 minutes difference from stream to my post I can't see all details in short time
You didn't find Viscaria Pro from this perspective until now.
I don't know anything about gluing but it looks like they first glue koto ayous together and press material to add stiffness to these materials because the materials will break off very easy. The glued Koto Ayous pressed is like 0,15 koto and 0,15 ayous but together is more like 0,1+0,1
second they put alc with kiri and they press core with arylate
next they glue everything and press everything just to add natural structure quality to the material and flex
The biggest problem to make this for public is time per sheet, for one blade and we all know how company works, they have Lean Production so they won't waste time for making special blades
You can see how Viscaria Pro in Anton hands have scratched kiri core and there is a lot tense, tension in their work of body and wrist
So it is not an Innerforce then ? Because Innerforce is Limba - Limba - Alc
Yes. That last little jump is the big one; not all players get there, many fail just below the top. Kallberg’s been rising for a while, and now seems to be breaking through to a higher level. Like he did so many times before. Love him madly.
I agree, he seems to have had great development like 2015-2017 and then had some mental blockades and struggles between 2018-2020. He's been a beast ever since, probably the most technically sound in the Swedish NT at the moment.
That's right. I noticed tha, too, years ago. The handle ist round ST. The shape or roundness of it comes from Donic handles ! Ovtcharov was testing and trying with these handles on different blades to find out for him the right thickness. For me the normal thickness of these round ST handles were also too thin. Ovtcharov is a big guy with bigger hands than the crowd. I am not 100% sure which handle thichness he exactly uses, but it must be nearly 25 mm of thickness. On some pictures bevor which everybody can see, Ovtcharov used a long time the Donic handles with additional veneers on each side under the handles of around 1 mm. The standard thickness of Donic handles were 8,6 mm each side. Now you can combine: 9,6 mm + 9,6 mm + 5,8 or 6,2 mm blade thickness = 25,0 mm or 25,4 mm handle thickness for Ovtcharov's blade. I think this handles would be for Källberg maybe too much, so he could have the same handles but with a little less thickness, but also with more thickness than the regular from Donic. That's the secret. Especially the players and also Butterfly can't tell or confirm this as you can imagine why. Therefore and that's why the so called special made blades from Butterfly for some players. The handle wideness of the handles are nearly 28,5 mm.Very round handle compared to many butterfly blades?
I find most handles (FL) too whimpy and I don't have big hands. I love Donic, the way they compare equipment is excellent but most handles are just too thin. It could be fixed with grip tape on my Appelgren WC 89 because of the lightness of the blade but sometimes it would just make it too heavy… I wish they could come with a little larger handles. That's right.
