I used this rubber a lot but it's been years since I last played with it. I'd say if AK47 Red is MXP, this would be the MXS. Firmer, have to work harder to juice it, but steadier performance.

Heh, this all looks a damned impudence by Chinese, indeed. Another bastard creature by China native enterprisers. This present product is marketed in sheer defiance to the ITTF latest regulations.

- 5.2.3. Once a sandwich rubber got authorised, the sponge material must remain one and the same, without any alterations (i.e. colour, composition, density, hardness, etc).

-- 5.2.4 Marketing or distributing sponges of different materials in combination with the same topsheet is not permitted and shall be a subject to penalty sanctions.

FAQ as concerned the "bastard rubbers."

Q: -- I just received one of the bastard rubbers. Do I incur any troubles when using those rubbers in my intra-club competitions?

A: -- Hy, dear.
This all depends on quality status of the competitions. As an example, all the ranked events would be held under full scope of table tennis rules, including the rule 3.2.1.3. This rule explicitly forbids using the bastard rubbers.

Be happy.

Never used Assassin but I have used illumina and Tiger S on bh. Both Chinese-ish, pretending to be Jap/Euro-ish. Some tackiness, good spin, control, block etc... Just not fast or bouncy. Hard to beat for $15.

So you're saying its pretty good? Near AK47 Red's performance?
I gunna be Oscar the Grouch here... that rubber cost relative peanuts.. just buy it from Cole and use it. You are helping him help you and me out by buying it from him sight unseen.

I did get a free sheet of that rubber from him on one of my orders when I was still in the Army... that rubber was dynamic, but felt weird to me. Kinda artificially soft topsheet.

Still, some people with direct impact (like Tensor BH) might like this kind of rubber a LOT.
Give it a shot... Cole is just a middle class dude trying to make a living as a teacher in Kansas and has been serving the TT players for longer than many of them have been alive.

Guess what Igor? You're allowed to market the same rubber with multiple hardnesses and thicknesses of sponge. Both are listed with the ittf. I know...I filled out the spreadsheet for Emese. And multiple colors too, just in case.

Were you recently beaten by a bastard rubber or something?

Thanks for your answers. It seems that colestt and ML Sporting are the only ones who have Air rubbers in the sortiment in Europe and America region.
Of the chinese rubbers I played on FH:
729 B2 black 2.1 (CHN40‘), 729 B2 black 2.1 (ESN45‘), Skyline 3-60 black 2.1 (CHN37‘)
What I learned from the chinese rubbers is the advantage of the short game and the ghost pushes, but the downside is the driving game and thin brushed topspins, I need very good timing and the feeling in the hand to do as with tensor rubbers.
I went back to europe hybrid Andro C48, actually better for me.
But I‘m looking for a chinese hybrid which is „similar“ to C48.
In focus I have 729 B3 (CHN38‘), might a bit „bouncier“ as B3: Yinhe Big Dipper IV (39‘), Apollo V (38‘)?

The alternative 729 hardness scale is not the same as ESN.
