Thanks, I appreciate it.
some teams event, have almost 10 players and 1 coach sitting on the bench.
any of them, including the player playing can call out the words, time out in or talk in a teams match.

The umpire will look at the captain (that is registered before the match on the match card) to see if he/she had made any call and umpire will only acknowledge time out from that person.

people can talk in between points now, so talking about when to call time out happens a lot more too.

well, I gave my view on that rule points.
its not what zeio or you think on how it works based on the wording.

Coach offered, he didnt' call.
not like the coach didn't want to call.
makes a big difference in the situation.

End of the day, its a bad call since it didn't work out and they need to live with it (in fact i'm sure they have moved on, only we haven't)

if Lin won after a time out in G5, you won't be spending so much efforts here and the other one won't be joking about the coaches cap and showing disrepect

so I just chatted with my mate in wtt and all he can do was laugh, when I told him about how ttd members are complaining about the stream info, live score, score updated etc.

So these are all ITTF people (if it isn't on WTT website, WTT isn't involved).

He said the wtt have a very small team, compared to the output they have (near 100 events a year).
won't be a job I want...

Please stop acting like we don't understand what you are saying. We think the coach was wrong. We think LYJ choked. It is okay to not to agree. But stop saying we don't understand. We are not idiots.

From Hina's account on X:

Thank you so much for your continued support.
I had resumed training in preparation for competing in the Asian Championships, but while I was training there I hurt my arm again and had to withdraw from my singles match.

To all the fans who were looking forward to the match, I apologize for causing you concern 🙇‍♂️
I will do my best to make a full recovery so that I can return to the court in good health.
JTTA's selection criteria forced Hayata to be a freeloader here. Otherwise, she could qualify by WR instead. But either way, only 4 players could've been sent because a 5th player such as Sato (finalist of selection trial), Kihara or Nagasaki (5th and 6th in WR for JNT players) is capable of qualifying by finishing within the quota places and continental quotas have precedence over WR.

Hayata should step aside. Assuming one month preparation she would have to start training around now, doesn't seem like enough time to recover from her severe injury. Looks like JNT are testing out Odo to see if she can break into the main team. Miwa, Odo + Hayata for 2028?

當局者迷,旁觀者清/Lookers-on see most of the game.

Seeing how LYJ got himself 2 ZPP (zero-point penalty) and CSY got herself 3, which cost her the WS at Paris 2024, I'm really surprised at how stubborn he was. If he indeed denied the TO, that's a sign he doesn't trust his coach. Either way, I think it's fair to say he has been tilting in recent months.
