I dont think Chinese Professional Player would give tips that decreases quality.
That's not what I said. I said this tip works for most shots, because when you do focus on power, you get tense, and tension is bad for shot quality.
So not focusing on power - > less tension - > more quality (y) on all shots

That tip applies to most shots tbh, don't tense up because you lose a lot of quality with that.
For sure, this video is great in general, not just for backhand. I especially like how he puts the focus on contact point. Closer to the body for easier power, not reaching forward out of the strike zone. On the fall for easier control, not off the bounce or at the peak. Both require judging the trajectory, moving your feet to adjust, waiting and timing the ball properly. He also talks about how it's often harder to be consistent against lower level players because every shot is different, requiring constant movement and adjustment. Also about how you can fail to improve in competition for years if you only focus on shot mechanics. More effective to focus on adjusting to every shot.
