Hey Guys,as the the title goes, what is the best Hybrid in your estimation thus far.
I was searching for a cheaper alternative to the Donic Bluestar A1 for the upcoming season,as i see the new Flagship Hybrids come out,it seems like 70.- is the new Price Range from the Big Brands.
I was hoping some of you guys have the Pros and Cons of the new Hybrids figured out by now (Should be almost a season now, since the Tibhar Hybrd, etc came out)
I like the Bluestar A1 cause i think it has the most Plus in certain areas of the Hybrid Variant,Not the Stickiest but very Grippy, not the fastest but very fast,,Maybe not as controlled as a Tibhar Hybrid but for me a blessing,Love the Short-short were there isn´tthat much catapult going on.)
So i would like to get the pros and cons of the new Flagship series of Hybrids (Could also Include a bit older version like Stiga!)in your opinion and like to see a cheaper version of the Bluestar A1 if you guys have already played or Eje´d during the Summer and the last season.
I like the 52.5 ° from the Bluestar, cause i only play a 5 ply,so I´d like the sponge to be in that area,
55 shore maybe a bit much, but i like harder sponges to tame the springy or catapulty nature of my blade.
Hope to get some insights,i liked the Tronix AGR for around 30.- is it somewhat similiar to A!?
I am playing the whole round (German Vorrunde) with theSetupif it lasts longer then the better,so if all else Failes i probably will go the Bleuestar A1 and bh A2 route.
Thx for all your input folks.

I personally think Stiga Dragon Grip is the best. But they are all pretty similar. Bluegrip C2 is decent, maybe slightly slower than DG.

Xiom Omega China is good, nearly identical to DG.

Yeah i thought about them too,but they also aren´t that cheap,in Germany the Dragon Grip costs 60.-
A bit sad that Yasaka doesn´t push their shining Dragon in the european market.
I think there are a few Hybrids out there, where one would suspect a follow up or at least get them cheaper or at all in Europe.
The Sieger from Nittaku was also a bit strange that he only lasted a year and is now discontinued or is he?
yeah the Xiom Omega will also be pretty neat if the costs sink, they have their J%H lineup and the new Vega and Omegas on the horizon,a bit overkill from them.

I feel like hybrid rubbers only exist to rival Dignics 09c. When people find a good one, they always go; 'is this a cheaper option to 09c?!' Because of this, if you can afford it, just go for 09c. Its durable, fast and one of the best rubbers ever.
a lot of ppl dont factor durability into their calcs but it is not really correct. Imo one should be calculating based on estimated $/mth or $/yr. So a $50 rubber which lasts 2 mths is more expensive to use than $100 rubber which lasts 6 mths.

hybrids been out way before d09c came out.
in fact, butterfly earlier addition of hybrids wasn't much popular

Xiom Vega China and TAU are one of the earlier editions of Hybrids, and I had them around 10~12 years ago or so.

in terms of hybrids, D09C is indeed quality
but then, if D09C, I would just go for H3 :)

I dont think they exist only to rival 09c, there is a plethora of players who (while ood club players) have not got teh ability to use 09c to their advantage.
Its difficult to use properly unless your technique is really very good and its very difficult in the short game, needs a lot of training to adjust to so its really not for everyone.
I think thats why other Hybrids are very popluar, slower ones are suited to less advanced players. Its a bonus that many of them are half the price of D09c but its not just price, for me anyway

And to add on, d09c doesnt suit all blades. Which is why having options is a good thing.

A hybrid is a mixture of two different things, resulting in something that has a little bit of both — like the rare zedonk, a hybrid of a donkey and a zebra.

The word hybrid gets thrown around often these days — ever heard of hybrid cars that run on both electricity and fuel? Or hybrid films that are half animation, half live action? But hybrid is really most at home in the realm of genetics and crossbreeding. It actually comes to us from the Latin hybrida, meaning the offspring of two dissimilar animals, specifically a tame sow and a wild boar.

So much for the definition , the bottom line being that ever since the invention of ping pong , players have been looking for the perfect combination, well, it does not exist and in the end we still have to choose a combo that fits our style and capabilities.

Play ! The dream does not exist. 😂
