i got a friend interested in table tennis recently, he played in the early 90s but has been completely out of touch since then and is oblivious to how the game changed since those days. i wanted to send him a few youtube links of modern classic matches. please comment with some links to the most impressive matches of let’s say the last 15 years, the most jaw-dropping rallies, the most outstanding fights between the superstars, your top 3 games, etc.

One of my favorite matches was more than 15 years ago but I think that your friend should watch it...the Olympic final 2004 Ryu Seung Min vs Wang Hao.
Every time I see it, I feel exhausted only seeing Ryu's footwork...

man, this is so good, JSH is so satisfying, such a pleasure to watch. his 2003 match against Ma Lin is one of my favourite games ever, completely over the top, like a Tom & Jerry episode, Ma Lin's frustration is so hilarious.

Just watch the videos on that YouTube channel. It used to be the source of the best TT videos.
