Best (simplest to use) editing software for table tennis matches?

I am hoping to be able to set up a YouTube channel for my local league. The issue of course is time. I know that Betterplay AI will do the job of quickly editing out dead time in matches, but is there anything similar that would not be a per minute cost to use. Preferably something that could be ready on a PC and be available to use for a few people. I don't mind paying an initial cost, but I could see problems with who pays every week for Betterplay. I am familiar with a few editing apps, but looking for something that would speed up the process.

From my experience in our league there is not much downtime. No one stalls or is really slow to serve so editing stuff out would be not worth it. Obviously don't know how it's with yours, but I would record every match individually and upload it unedited.
I know what you mean. But there is sometimes a big break here and there. If I can find something to make my life easier, I would like to use it LOL.

And buys you a a $900 racket!
Ya know, one of these days he's gonna ask you a BIG BIG favour and you won't be able to say no! 😉
Well I go to his games and coach him - so it's not as onesided. I also need him to get better fast so he can be a good practise partner for me. Right now he is around 950RC. But yeah he is a big help with filming too. I want to get him a bluetooth controller so he doesn't have to press it on the phone. But couldn't find a good one. Most of them only have Play and stop button but we need a Pause button aswell..

If you want to just crop stuff from your video without a complicated UI - try Avidemux. Learning curve - learn to use the arrows, and 2-3 key combinations and you can edit a match pretty quickly (like a 15 minutes match can take you less than 15 minutes when you get used to it)
If you want something to do this instead of you and for free.. maybe a sibling or a wife (and those are not doing it for free of course )

At hobby player level, I can crop a 25 min game into a 7 min video, so yes, we have a lot of dead time on our videos.

With a Samsung Phone you can you a Samsung smartwatch as remote controll and even have a preview of the phone to see if everything is in scope

I use betterplay.ai which sometimes removes whole points, but it ismofmcourse very comfortable.
Manually If I care enough I use davinci resolve, but to be honest it will be too big of a beast for that task.
I even learned to blur the opponent and stuff, but not doing it for 2 weeks made me forget it already

Oh if anyone has a problem I don't even film them and tbh wouldn't even bother uploading it.
I thought just for cutting.

Yes but its my watch and also feels weird not having it on during gameplay. After all it weights a bit and can also change the central of body weight a bit during stroke etc. But yeah I used it in training to film myself.
