Hey folks
Is there a section in here that does reviews on the best Table Tennis Tables?
I found reviews for almost everything else but not tables.
Can you recommend the best table for home? It has to be foldable but that's about it.
What's the best table that you've ever played on and what would you buy?

due to shipping costs and risks of damage in transit, the best options vary depending on location. budget is important as well. Donic Waldner Classic 25 is a two-piece folding table and Stiga Premium Compact (one-piece folding, nearly identical to Sponeta version) would be good ones to look at for nice competition-grade tables... in the US, JOOLA Tour 2500 (and their other 18mm/25mm) are pretty much best value for money

Cheers for the replies.
Money is not really the issue, we've set aside a few dollars for a good table so anything up to $2000 would be possible.
It's more just looking for first-hand experience from any table owners, or from people who have bought different tables for clubs.

I have read many reviews online but I don't know whether Butterfly foldaway, Stiga/Donic 30mm and 25mm or Jolla 28. Also Cornilleau tables look good but I have never played on one.
It's one purchase I want to get right but it's hard to objectively determine between the different ones.
I guess just plumping for an ITTF approved competition table from Stiga, Donic or Butterfly is the thing to do but, all the same, am trying to do a little research beforehand 😊

Regarding 30mm tables, the Stiga Expert VM (two-piece stationary, not folding) and Optimum 30 (two-piece folding) have the thicker table tops and they are great, but keep in mind many robots and brackets are made with a max 25mm tabletop thickness in mind, so they may require a slight adjustment or potentially not fit properly depending on their limits. 25mm makes things easier

choosing an ITTF-Approved table is a good idea. they have to meet specific standards on uniform bounce and matte-finish. butterfly centrefold 25 (one-piece) and octet 25 (two-piece) have the same tabletop and are popular options worldwide. they are heavy tables, the space saver 22 (one-piece) is lighter and plays well but its 22mm not 25mm.

at the end of the day, if you go with a reputable brand/ittf-approved table, pick the one you like looking at the most

Just get the Joola 25mm. They bounce pretty much the same as Butterfly 25mm tables, is plenty sturdy, and comes in 2 pieces so more storage options for home use. It also costs only a few hundred and ships free from Amazon (at least in the US). In very happy with my Joola Inside 25.

I recommended that our city parks and rec manager to buy Joola Tour 2500 tables for our facility. This is the best bang for the buck for a non ITTF logo table.

If I was buying an ITTF logo table for home use, I would buy the BTY Europa, or it's equivalent from Stiga, Conrnilleau, etc. The two halves require minimal space for storage and can be used independently if you need a spare table for a party or something.

If you want foldable with wheels in the middle, check to see if opening and closing requires 2 people. The BTY tables at one of the clubs I play at require 2 people, one on each side, as a safety measure. This may not matter to you, but you don't want to buy one like this and find out that you can't open the table up by yourself.
