I am a recreational player (3+ years) looking to upgrade my BH rubber (Xiom Vega Europe). I am generally forced to chop incoming medium backspins due to inability to generate BH topspin. Due to this weakness, I am currently focusing on improving my backhand, learning to generate BH loop/topspin.

Should I buy Vega Europe again and work on my BH or upgrade my rubber? If yes, can you please suggest a rubber for me?

not sure if this could apply. Btu I got a buddy that uses vega korea for BH, and I tried his setup and find it really good. The spin and control is amazing ~ well comparing to my BH rubbers moonspeed and big dipper. I feel technique and feel can be improved ~ maybe it could be part of your shortlist. But its chinese rubber for me still lol

I keep hearing that C1 and Aurus soft is a real good BH rubber by several skilled players here.

stick with Vega Europe until you can open up like 80-90% consistency after which you may consider the mother of all BH rubber: Tenergy 05

Vega Europe should be fully capable of looping backspin so I would think you just need to keep practicing.

If the problem is that the ball is slipping then your rubber might need replacing.

If the problem is that you're able to loop it but it's slow and gets smashed easily by your opponent then maybe you can start considering a different rubber.
