They lack of concept no more hinoki, no more balsa, no more slow composite with good soft touch blades, no more walnut, ebony, just another of copy work
Equipment is pretty homogenized now. If you make something not koto/limba, inner/outer alc it might not really sell, unfortunately.

So the ALC is not the same as the Freitas then. Thicker and softer. Yet same speed...?

As in BTY website, these new blades (including ZLC outer) are for beginners/intermediate players!!!

Not for us :p :p :p :p :p We can easily tame a ZLC-outer beast! :ROFLMAO:
:ROFLMAO:

Also they wont be cheap. The ALC will be at 3/4 pf Viscaria price, the ZLC just a bit more than Viscaria, and the CAF will be double the price of Korbel, see https://www.butterfly.shop/category/SHAKE/

So for 30 years, Viscaria is still the king with lower price 👑 😆 😆 😆

i don’t understand why they made them thicker? one of the biggest arguments for a carbon blade over an 7ply ist the added stability without a thick construction… i would have understood if they choose softer wood and make them slightly thinner like 5.7
the idea is good and since xiom don’t sell the Hugo HAL anymore there is a good chance that people switching to that. but with 6.2 thickness?

Wait? They're thicker. Weird, why take an outer zlc, make it thicker and sell it to beginners intermediates? Would it not be even faster? Did they completely change the core?

Yeah...maybe they change core from Kiri to Ayous and we see legendary next Black tag series.
Thinner blades have better flex and feeling so I dont see a reason to get them
