I've been playing the last couple of years with some wooden blades (Yasaka Sweden Extra, Stiga Cybershape Wood, Walder Senso V2). Very nice blades and I enjoyed playing with them. Same goes for some carbon blades I've been playing with. Last 2 years I've been playing with a Butterfly Balsa Carbo X7 (very nice) and a Yasaka Ma Lin soft carbon (didn't fancy that one).
All in all I guess the standard takes about the differences between carbon and wood are quite obvious and do apply for the most part for me as well. Recently I've switched from the X7 to the Cybershape wood. A relative big switch and trade off in regards to feeling (blocking, touchplay, ball placement) and speed/kick. If possible I would like find a middle ground, I guess a carbon inner blade could serve me well, I don't have any experience playing with them.
I have a allround playstyle. I like to mix up heavy services in combination with 3rd ball attacks, heavy forehand topspin shots, soft/slow backhand topspin shots and pushing/punching with my backhand. With my current setup (Cybershape wood) I'm missing punch/speed mainly on my backhand and forehand (power) topspin. Therefor I play more responsive and with less initiative and joy so to say.
Any advice on carbon inner blades? Or other carbon blades matching requirements metioned above?
