Hello,
i was wondering if classic rubber like Yasaka Mark V, Donic Vario, Donic Coppa, Stiga Carbo Sound, Joola Upp still are good in the plastic ball times for a attack game out of underspin most of the time close to the table but sometimes in mid distance or if you would say no get a tensor like vega pro or so in 1,8, this would be better?

What is your level? Depends on your level. Mark V is still a great rubber and a good option for developing strokes.

It is for people between 1200 and 1350 points.
One plays with a wsc the other has a used long 5 other one still plays with an allplay.

So yeah most of them has an okay technique.
Well yeah of course not that consistence but okay i would say.
Most of the time there is pushing and even that is not save or one trys a topsspin and if this hit the table it is a point most of the time, if not than yeah xD

I think they can use and play well with markv up to 1600-1700 points. Or i think i could be competetive with markv at that level.

Really? On his FH?

What about his blade and BH?

Dual sided Mark V according to a guy that I know that is a coach in the club that he used to play for. Fascinating style of play. Chop, Attack, Chop, Attack etc.

Wow! Fascinating indeed!

Do you happen to know what blade he uses?

Someone on OOAK claims that it’s a “hinoki defensive”. I can verify this the next time that I visit his former club for an away league game.

FYI - I was practicing on the table next to him earlier this year. His sparring partner was some
other Japanese dude who had a WR of about 50 and it was very hard to focus on my own training to the point that my sparring partner got upset with me. My conclusion was that Mark V is capable of anything (maybe he boosts the sh*t out of it but anyways)
