I am starting this thread to give an idea to defensive players (mostly away from the table choppers) as to how clueless & out of touch the manufactureres are when it comes to making rubbers & blades for choppers on the 40+ plastic ball world.

Most of these discussions may also apply to close to the table blocking type defenders using frictionless type long pips.

I have a whole bunch of rubbers & blades I have in mind and will start listing them here one at a time explaining why that rubber or blade is a piece of crap, especially in the 40+ plastic ball era.

However to make things interesting I won't post my first item yet, giving chance to someone else to post a blade or rubber and explain why that rubber or blade is garbage.

With my apologies to Ms.Andrea Jiang of Sanwei who posts here, the first inductee into the hall of shame is Sanwei Two Face defensive dual mode blade.
https://sanweisport.com/english/product/blade/defense/two-face/
i was actually going to order one before a frind of mine showed me the blade. I laughed & laughed
The workmanship looks gerat & the blade looks sexy and all that but functionality wise it s useless
I could not believe how small the blade is. i can see it if some penhold twiddling choppers using this if this was a penhold blade but as a shakehand blade this is a complete joke and definitely belongs in the Hall of Shame I am sorry.
I am not sure if Sanwei makes custom blades but if they do , I would definitely like to try a super large version of this blade with 175 mm width x 175 mm height,(not including handle length , Sanwei includes handle length in length, which is confuding) and if Sanwei can also give me a sticky inverted rubber & a high aspect ratio super long pips rubber to go with it. I think this is could be a very fine blade if it comes in super large size to match the needs of defensive players in the 40+ plastic ball era but this blade may not be good enough even for the 38 ball era. This probably could be a great blade if super large, not only for away from the table choppers but even at the table block defenders. But with such a small head size it is not good enough even for at the table blcoking defenders as there are many better Dr.neubauer blades available

Sanwei could make a fortune inside China alone I think, with such a super large blade in many versions, one with carbon (on offensive side) & one with many composites such as Kevlar or ALC or ZLC or such & one without composite materiai (all wood) etc

I know this may not be polite nice way to request something but in all fairness Sanwei is not the only one who belongs in this Hall of Shame. I will be adding lot more blades and rubbers in this Hall of Shame, the biggest culprit is of course Butterfly .

There are few other blades like Yinhe T9, Giant Dragon Kris carbon & many many Dr.Neubauer blades & rubbers that belong in this Hall of Shame & I will start posting them in this thread one by one in detail in the future.

I wonder how many such blades custom blade makers like SDC blades have produced
