Dhs rubber durablilty + tack.

I am currently using the Dhs H3 Provincial BS. It is a great rubber, but recently, after 3 months of usage, it is showing signs of wear and losing tackiness.I will probably get new rubbers in a few months so I would like to know which DHS rubbers retain tackiness and are durable enough to last a year or two. Thank you.

You still have great grip, that’s all you need. A little less spin on serves but that’s it. All rubbers will slowly deteriorate but The grip of H3 lasts loong time. So what you have to do is to adjust your game for the loss of tackiness.

Sorry but I don't think you understand what I am saying in the phrase "slick as hell". I mean that my rubber has little grip so it is mostly the tack doing the work. The rubber is significantly less grippy than my rozena on BH. Sorry for the confusion.
Sorry but I don’t believe this. Grip and tackiness are two different things you do clean your rubbers don’t you?

Yes but for some reason the bat cleaner and sponge leave marks on the topsheet. I probably should have mentioned this earlier.
It doesn’t matter, the topsheet looks like it’s run over by a truck but it’s still very very grippy… Rub a ball over it. You will feel it still grips. My H3 ( since beginning of August ) has almost no tackiness left but it still works perfect for brushing and most of the grippiness is there. It is more difficult to engage the sponge with H3. This is because it has less catapult. The catapult (Euro style) gives you some freebies when hitting through but takes it back in the slow game. But as the tackiness decreases you have to adjust your shot. I need to close the racket angle little by little. I change rubber once every season (1/2 year), but that is actually too much I could have played it longer.

There's a formula that I've verified to determine when to change your table tennis rubber.

If you:
play 2 days a week then 12/2 = Change every 6 months.
play 3 days a week then 12/3 = Change every 4 months.
play 4 days a week then 12/4 = Change every 3 months.

However, I've noticed that you play about 3 hours each day. We might need to adjust the formula to account for the intensity of your play."

This looks about right, My H3 after a liitle more than 3 weeks is pretty worn but still has grip I will strech it until January. Then it be August - December = 5 months... My next rubber then must last Jan - July 7 months, but there is a lot less activity June & July so I hope this will work.... It has in the past but I feel My rubbers wear quicker and quicker...

Another important factor is rubber cleaner spray. I used Butterfly cleaner, which degraded the rubber quickly. However, when I switched to DHS rubber cleaner spray, the rubber lasted longer.

I have used all of them, can’t notice any difference at all, not with water either.

When my last bottle is finished I will make my own. Can’t be difficult. I am thinking a tiny bit of Yes and lime juice in water…

Could be a bad sample/batch. Where did you buy it?
I can't recall a single H3 sheet that lost its grip. Some lose tackiness over time, but the grip is always there.

And no tackiness is lost due to a cleaner...

can you use a rubber for 12 months, if 5 months of not using it
Absolutely, unless you racket lies outside on a table… Put it in a case (rubbers between protective sheets) and store it in a drawer. Rubbers breaks down from sunlight and oxidation. Stored properly this is a very slow process… Then it takes
Years…
