So I now been using 09c for the first time ever for the past 2-3 weeks or so on both BH and FH. Totally love it but I had the thought of maybe next time when its time to change the rubbers to try the 05 instead on FH.

Reason is due to an injury I am much stronger on BH than FH in general and could use a slightly faster rubber but without loosing all the good spin and control 09c offers.

from what I hear I gather that:
05 is faster. same amount of spin. little less control in short game push, blocks. I am guessing its more bouncy?

So how much faster is 05 in smashes and topspin rallies? Any feedback is appreciated.

I think D05 is faster in blocks and punches and medium-powered shots. I think they are basically similar speed in strong loops and smashes.

D05 is faster and a totaly diffrent rubber compare to 09C. You need a fast armswing for D05 to get maximum spin. D80 is a hiden gem in the Tenergy line. I think the speed of D80 is almost the same as D05 but the top sheet feels a little softer and you don´t need a blazing fast armswing to use D80. D05 is of course great as well!

Ok I am a little confused.... you write D80. as in Dignics. But say its a tenergy.
So its T80?
Asking as I checked and both lines have a 80 so not sure which one you mean ;)

I second dignics 80 being a great rubber, one of my favorites, but I've only tried it on a friends vis. Not too fast, easy spin generation, easy looping and lifting, good speed. Theres obviously going to be less control that d09c in short game, but its a great rubber overall
How much less do you think? I am considering either D80 or 09C for my BH to replace my H3 and I want know know the short game comparison. Also I have heard D80 lasts a lot longer than 09C

Relatively considerably in the short game, its easier to keep the ball short with 09c, but 80 feels much better for flicking on both sides. 80 does last a very long time. 09c will be considerably closer to your hurricane 3, its just knowing whether you want a drastic change from hurricane 3 or not. Nevertheless, if you adjust to the 80 its still easy for a short touch

D80 is not lasting longer than D09c, it has softer more gentle top sheet so it tend to shrink more and I never had a shrink D09c and I used more than 20 sheets on a different blades. Short game D09c also better, but still D80 is a great rubber - one of my favourites 👌🏻

Thank you guys for the insight, will probably change to 09C in this case

D09C is the best BH rubber for me, I said it before and won't hesitate to say it again. Getting used to tacky rubbers on BH side takes a bit of time, but since you used H3 before, it won't be a big problem. You'll most likely love the D09C :D
