Dimitrij Ovtcharov and Patrick Baum stumble in round of 16 at the Qatar Open 2012

In form Dimitrij Ovtcharov seeded six for Qatar and last weeks European Top 12 winner fell to the hands of Lee Jung Woo in the round of 16 at the Qatar Open World Tour 2012. Elsewhere amongst the German National team Patrick Baum lost to the reigning Olympic Champion Ma Lin by 4 games to 1 with scores: 6-11, 4-11, 11-7, 7-11, 11-13. Lee Jung Woo didn't have it easy in defeating Dimitrij Ovtcharov by any means. The match went to the seventh set with Dimitrij taking a 6-3 lead in the deciding game. However, Lee Jung Woo played superb and hit winners out of nowhere to gain advantage over the German star. Ovtcharov managed to level the seventh set at 9-9 with him in full control of the point, although Korea's Lee Jung Woo finished the game with a sensational counter top spin followed by a block! Lee Jung Woo defeated Dimitrij Ovtcharov by 4 games to 3 with scores: 6-11,12-10,4-11,11-5,4-11,11-9,11-9
