Today on the 14th July the 2013 Chinese Super League round 5 took place with Dimitrij Ovtchaorv proving a superb new addition to his Guangdong club. The Olympic bronze medalist made his singles debut in the worlds strongest table tennis league meeting China's Hao Shuai and Chinese Taipei Chuang Chih Yuan. Both battles went to the full five sets! In the fifth round of the Chinese Super League clash Guangdong faced Tianjin. In the second match Dimitirj Ovtcharov made his singles debut taking on Chuang Chih Yuan. Chuang took a 2-1 lead over the German representing Guangdong. The comeback was on, Dima put the match into the fifth set with both players displaying fantastic top to top quality, Dimitrij Ovtcahrov won the show with a 3 set to 2 win with scores 14-12, 11-13, 10-12, 11-9, 7-5.
In the fourth match of this encounter, Ovtcharov secured the win for Guangdong as he defeated Chinese National Team member Hao Shuai in a repeat of 5 epic sets (11-9, 11-7, 8-11, 11-13, 8-6).
