Ding Ning is the Women’s Singles Champion at the Austrian Open 2013

Ding Ning has been crowned the Women’s single’s winner at the 2013 Austrian Open ITTF World Tour Major Series. The final seemed to be a repeat of the Olympic women’s final as Ding Ning was met in the final by Li Xiaoxia.

However this time it had a completely different outcome as Ding Ning was able to take the first and what ended up being the only two sets at a close (12-10, 13-11) before Li Xiaoxia unfortunately had to withdraw at the end of the second game suffering with a wrist injury.

This is now the 13th time that Ding Ning has managed to reach an ITTF World Tour women’s singles final and the seventh time she has been successful.
