DOWNFALL OF TABLE TENNIS, PICKLEBALL IS UPRAISING INSTEAD. .

The game of Pickleball has now won a lot of followers worldwide and it keeps growing exponentally.
Truth to say, it is known to be of Russia's origin. We did produced a good evidence in favour of such a statement. Russia got talents, indeed.

Table Tennis is now on its steep decline losing a good deal of followers with general public, This all happened mostly for the large abundance of cheaters to discredit the sport badly.
By all evidence, ANTISPIN RUBBERS caused an apparent degradation of the game, and even worse we can now see prevalence of the unfair boosted rubbers, the worsest abhorence of the sport.

My wife plays Pickleball and loves it. I play about once a week and the reason it is so popular is that it is the easiest bat/ball sport to play. It is difficult to put any spin on the ball and the court size negates most movement issues. I find it good fun but I find the challenges of Table Tennis and Tennis to be much more satisfying

and this is one table tennis is the most played sport in the world, even for the low end garage players, for them, the challenging aspect is what makes it so special.
and you must see how they try to spin the ball with they own unique styles.

Obviously, the ones who left TT for pickleball all report that they can suddenly play rallies, enjoy themselves, and last in a rally way more than they ever did in TT.

With TT, figuring out spin is too difficult for them, also difficult is equipment, very spin reactive, unless you slap on Igor's favorite anti rubber.

These were struggling to find enjoyment in TT, they only got beat down... in pickleball, they can feel like a boss of rally, even if they lose the rally.

Not to bash nor support the usage of pips for beginners here.

I personally believe that beginners must start learning all strokes using double inverted rubbers and then after they learn the basic strokes (and quite proficient) then it's up to them to use whatever rubbers they want to use.

However, based on my observations, one coach who specialized in teaching older people playing TT, he immediately suggests short pips or long pips to his older students. Once I asked the reason and he explained that those players just looked for enjoyment through TT. And after a while, when they still can't figure out the spin nor they can't win any fun matches, they gave up. So he put pips on BH so that those old beginners can start winning some matches, which in the end boost their confidence and make them enjoy the sport. Of course, technical wise, their strokes look awkward and not textbook like, but hey, whatever keep them playing for years.

I think the coach has valid view here.

So I think pickle ball is easy to play and very enjoyable, that's why it's so popular now. How about TT? Well....... 🤪 😩

Reminds me of a joke made by a NZ prime minister a while back when asked whether Kiwis (NZers) emigrating to Australia was a concern. He responded something like 'No, it will increase the average IQ of both countries'!

Of course figuring out how to find a suitable friction LP rubber and learning how to compete with it is 10x moar difficult and such have left the sprot in drives after spending billions on equipment...

... to me answer is simple, slap sum LPs on ur comfy blade and goof off and chop !!! You become helpful to higher level players if you can LP chop back drives and loops to challenge the higher level player to do it again... it is SO MUCH FUN it is almost illegal.
