Some insane first round matches - Jorgic was on the brink but made a furious comeback in game 6. My favorite performance comes from this German who clearly had to pass internal trials lol:

is the camera angle going to be like this throughout the tournament?
Or they improve in quarterfinals onwards etc?

It's a good question and I don't know the answer - I do remember that the last team tournament in Sweden and also the last European Games (not sure where those were) had some of the best production values I had ever seen for TT - maybe it is a different team producing it this time in Austria.

Honestly, there isn't that much money in TT, I don't get why players don't get happy that they get to see these matches and keep focusing on the camera angle.

thats the angle on the 'side' tables with no commentary. if you look at a broadcast from table 1 you can see much better angles and quality. matches will be on here as the tournament progresses.

I have a player in linz now and told her to go watch (she went yesterday)
quite an atmosphere

she was surprised she didn't need to show ticket and just waked straight in.
she did had a players pass (her formal teammates) but didn't use it.

What a sensation that Gauzy loses in straight sets to this lower ranked polish youngster, Redzimski. Funnily enough, the commentators tell an anectode about how Redzimski always plays in a red shirt, never another color, because of his last name. Translated to english it appatently means red shirt!

Redminzki and the Polish juniors around him (Kulczycki, Kubik) should really be dominating Europe a bit more by now with Dyjas as stabilizing vet. They should at least replace Portugal while staying a bit behind France. Should definitely be at least tied with Denmark and ahead of Slovenia in my humble opinion.

Kaufmann gave up too soon. Still immature.
