What a great start to the year with the Hungarian Open last week, and now this week we will see the top European players take part in the Europe Top 16! Number 1, 2 and 3 seeds Dimitrij Ovtcharov, Timo Boll and Simon Gauzy will all be looking to take the title. Samsonov and Freitas will definitely look to go all the way as well as number 6 seed Ruwen Filus. Kristian Karlsson and Alexander Shibaev follow closely as the 7th and 8th seed. A fantastic event to follow, be sure to get involved in the TTD discussions!

My moneys on Timo. Ruwen at number 6... how has that happened with the new world ranking.

I think this event can be very interesting, although Dima is natural first choice, it can happen that he looses quite early for instance Emmanuel Lebesson. Timo is not so consistent and if somebody plays very close to the table, he can have problems. I think Jonathan Groth can give us a surprise.
For the women event I think Bernadette Szocs should win
