Really odd. Seems like most people would rather use colors for BH since majority use black FH rubbers. So making a FH rubber like LAC in many different colors seems very niche.

Looking at the details and pictures, it looks like the sponge is not the LAC orange sponge but a the cream looking one that Loki Rxton 3 uses.

Also, the top sheet looks completely matte and doesn't have that murky sheen that a tacky rubber like LAC usually has.

So is a LAC that is non-tacky and uses a different sponge really LAC at all? Did they just get lazy and use the topsheet mold just so they can use the LARC number?

Then the seller has the purple rubber on the scale weighing in at 64g and the green at 57g, indicating different hardness or thickness variations (or just extremely poor QC).

Loki is really outdoing itself with confusing releases on this one.

Looks cool! Is this in fact the same rubber as LAC? I would love this on bh, especially in purple

I think they are cloning Hurricane 9, so a different sponge, maybe 36° like the new Arthur Europe 45 or 37° like H9 Purple. I bought the purple one out of curiosity.

About LAC Blue Sponge 39° : I boosted it with 2 layers of JieChi. It's still pretty unplayable. There is no linearity at all. Or you hit slow or average strokes, and the ball stays in the racquet, or you hit hard and then it's ok. It's not for me. Maybe someone that keeps looping and looping every ball will be satisfied with it, but I'll stick with the regular LAC.

If it's really just a 37d BH version of LAC and retains all the good attributes of LAC (good speed and thick contact) AND comes in cool colors then I'm getting some in every color.

I'm using LAC again on the FH after messing around with Rxton 9, Jupiter 3, and Bloom Power and none of them were nowhere near as suitable for me. Regular LAC is the best.

I think that LAC gets its qualities a lot from the sponge. So I'm pretty sure that this LAC-C won't be as good. But I might be wrong.

I agree. I feel there is just something nice and substantial about LAC that Rxton9 and J3A do not have. I feel J3A is fast but it lacks the pull and spin qualities that H3/LAC offers, and Rxton9 has good spin and pull but doesn't have quite have the meaty support and pop I get when I hit through H3/J3A

I think boosted LAC is maybe the best FH rubber for me. It was good unboosted, but actually quite a bit better boosted

@mattlamperouge

Can you ask Loki what rubber the LA-C is based off? Is it in fact just a lac or some other one?
I can try to ask. I saw color rubbers for LAC in the LARC a long time ago so it was a matter of time they released colour rubbers using the mold number. When i asked before they were working on Telson and Rxton 7 so there wasnt any info. Lets see now.

Hopefully it's the same type of sponge. It would make sense for them to change the color to a more neutral cream so that it doesn't clash with the other colors. The current dark orange sponge would look kinda ugly with most if not all of those colors.

Stiga Mantra Pro Pink has a light orange sponge and I don't like the look of it at all on the blade. Going to cover it with edge tape.

This may be the rubber I am most excited about in a while. Are all the colors the same 40d hardness?

Maybe there is a color-clash but my experiences with the cream sponge in both Loki rubbers but also 999 and mercury II were always disappointing

I'm a little more optimistic than you. Loki rxton 3 Blue has the cream sponge and it's my favorite BH rubber. I only stopped using it because it's a few degrees too hard at 52d. If this is a 37d version of that sponge I'd be happy with it too.

I was talking about the r3 pinkooo, completely useless rubber, "unpredictable and unreliable" with a mind of its own

its cake sponge is really good actually. there is a Blue sponge version of LAC but @Grumms said that it does not play similar so I guess that sponge is not good

My friend is playing the Green package LAC, I tried to tear the sponge from the topsheet and found out that its bond is stronger than the Orange package.

UPDATE: sorry I was mistaken, it was the LAC Pro, not the Green LAC

I did the same thing with my Green package LAC.

Another data point is that the older Loki Rxton 3 Blue sponge tore easily from the topsheet, but the newer ones have a very very strong bond and I couldn't tear it at all.

Makes me think that Loki has sourced better adhesive for that part of the manufacturing process. Have you tried the green package version? I consider you the unofficial TTD tester for rubber bubbling.

sorry I mistook the Green LAC and the LAC Pro, my friend broke the Green LAC in 2 weeks, then switched to the Pro and it's still good after 4 weeks.

Both 3 versions play exactly the same. So I guess the LAC Pro has the strongest bond in my case.
