Hi,
I'm an intermediate player and I like to play near the table or middle distance.
I'm an offensive player and I like hitting the ball with topspin.
I currently use a butterfly Sk7 classic with 2 rakza 7 and now I need to change my rubbers, because they are totally worn out.
What rubber do you thing fits better with my game, Rakza 7, Vega X, Fastarc G1 or another rubber?
One more question, What do thing about get an inner carbon blade instead of my Bty SK7?

I played with vega x, for some time. it is a very fast rubber and it is definitely for offensive purposes. However, one downside of it is it gets out of control rather quickly, it could possibly be a skill issue from me. Topspin is very good but the rubber is very sensitive to spin. I have heard about the fastarc but haven't tried it out yet. From what I know, it is very close to hurricane and a knock-off of T05.
for blades, are you running the SK7 classic? If you are, and trying to find a good inner carbon blade with a cheap price, I would suggest the Sanwei 75/ dhs 506X if you want to play offensively.
Sanwei 75 is very cheap and the handle, the design of it is very good. Although I am not a big fan of chinese products, especially dhs since the quality of work is terrible, dhs 506x is a very decent blade where you can play with all sorts of playstyles. My dhs blade came with splints and a rough handle which required sanding before use, never happened with my sanwei blades.

I would wholeheartedly recommend G1 with max. thickness. It is a put and forget rubber which can help you perform any stroke. I have used Xiom rubbers like Vega X and Omega 7 Pro/Euro but for me personally, I do not find the feeling of 'bite' on the ball though I get good spin from Xiom rubbers. Another option, which I am currently using is Hexer Powergrip and Hexer Grip. Both are really good rubbers for intermediate players.

This is completely unrelated but I am planning to buy a gewo nexus EL, im assuming that is what youre on, is it good? and should i play it as a forehand rubber or a backhand? I dont see many people talking about it

it is very close to hurricane
You say you have never used G1, based on your above comment I don't think you have used Hurricane either, you can't just regurgitate everything you read on the internet and expect it to be accurate.

I have used hurricane 3 on my first blade, it stank when it came out of the package

One thing I realized with Gewo rubber (at least the one which I am using: Nexxus Superselect EL 45 degrees) on my backhand is that rubber supports active strokes but it has a learning curve if you want to defend or want to borrow speed/spin from the incoming ball. Also, when I used it on my forehand previously, the life I got was 2 months max. with around 16 hours of play per week. The current one which I am using is on my spare setup and I am currently using it on backhand as you might have already guessed from my comment above. This is my second sheet as I am a slow adapter and I need to try at least 2 sheets of the same rubber to give my feedback.

I've been using the softest Gewo rubbers, Nexxus EL 38° and 43°. It's very nice, I like the easiness with which you can slap not-lively balls, and how easy it is to loop against serves. Of course, this is at the expense of the control. It's very pleasant on the FH, but finally chinese rubbers are more efficient for me, and I chose efficiency over pleasure. So Nexxus is on my BH only. I tested the Superslect 48° on my Fang Bo B2 blade, it's very nice too, but not as pleasant as the 38 or 43° (which is only a matter of taste).

Thank you very much for the opinions, do they normally last long?

My Gewo is on my blade since January, I played a lot wth it and it's still perfectly playable.
Rereading what you said, you've mentioned that chinese rubbers are more efficient, do you mind elaborating a little? also do you reckon i should get a softer or a harder rubber? I play rather offensively.

No man, for me at least it just lasted for 2 months. I used it on my forehand. On the positive side, the spin generation is really good, but the top sheet was worn off and lost its grip rather quickly.

More efficient on my FH. It means I do fewer faults. Until April, my technique was "poor" on my FH, so I was using tensor to compensate and give easy power. I drastically improved my FH (by training) and I don't need that easy power. Moreover, chinese rubbers allow me to short play and flick way better, because of the tackiness and the control. BUT, that does not mean it would be the case for everyone, so I won't affirmatively tell if you need softer or harder. Also because you might prefer the feeling of a softer rubber and that the pleasure would be above the efficiency.

To give better advice, I should know why you consider changing from your current rubbers, if it's for FH, BH, what you like in a rubber, what you expect for a rubber, etc... For example, you might want a rubber that compensate your flaws, if you think that your technique will never improve. Or you can choose a rubber that emphasises your flaws because you want to train hard to correct them. That's what I did. I started training on my FH extensively while I changed to chinese rubber, so that I don't have to count on the tensor effect to make me shoot good.

Thank you so much for the very detailed reply for this, I am decent on my FH and horrendous on my BH, and since my most recent blade broke into half, I have decided to get a new blade with new rubbers, thinking of Vega Korea, and gewo nexxus for my FH. I play really offensively. will nexus FL be a good idea? I played with baracuda, hurricane 3 neo, sonex jp, vega tour and blues 2

I loved Nexxus EL 38 and 43º. I did not try the Superselect 48 enough to have a sincere opinion. I play very offensively on my BH and the Nexxus suits me well.
