FH rubber advice for a JPEN 1ply hinoki blade

Finally got a cheap new butterfly cypress v-max S, my question is what rubber would be better on JPEN hold for smashing?

I was thinking tenergy 05/ tenergy 05 hard (never used them before tbh) or dignics 05 because you need to block a lot preparing for the smash, any advice? I dont have problems with chinese or ESN rubbers, thanks

strange, truly strange for the words cheap and one-ply are seldom used in a single sentence.

I'd say check some soft rubber. I tried a jpen with calibra lt sound and it was magic.
flaccid soft Euro rubbers are the best, while erect hard Chinese rubbers are the best.

tenergy 05............... tibhar mxp................. donic bluefire m1.............. fastarc g1................... a lot of decent options and they all play almost the same as each other, the differences are marginal except for perhaps durability/performance throughout 6 and more months

i dont reccomend chinese rubbers for jpen but if you want to try go ahead, its ur choice in the end

Yeah, I have never really seen a Chinese rubber on a Jpen, nor can I imagine it being better than Euro rubbers

Former jpen player here. Controversial opinion, but I think Hurricane 3 works really well on 1-ply hinoki. So does Skyline 2 -- it's very controllable in the short game but you can flick and drive really fast with it. Otherwise, I'd say T05 Hard if you're going for an all-out attacking style. T05 normal is good too, but it's more spin sensitive.

I never tried Dignics 05 on hinoki but I think there's a reason people don't use it.

I had played Darker Speed 90 Hinoki for about 3 years. Tried a number of options. I had tried T05, T05FX, H3, TG3, K1 Plus and TG2.

Hinoki has a soft feel but the arc is noticeably low, trajectory is long.

Strangely it pairs extremely well with slightly tacky hybrid.

Tenergy - hard to control as it’s very bouncy.

Chinese tacky rubber - very great for drive and short game. You lose some soft feeling of Hinoki. Try 39 hardness TG3. TG3 has the softest topsheet.

Hybrid- the perfect sweet spot.

I tried MXP, T05, G1. I think they all can do very well, but all three rubbers behave quite differently too.

At least in these aspects, on the same 10mm hinoki JPen,
Loop drive:
T05 and MXP are quite forgiving, ball lands quite close to the net
G1 ball flies much longer, often towards the end of table. Demands better sensitivity to brushing, if insufficient ball goes into net more easily.

Flat hitting:
G1>T05=MXP. Ball feels more automatic when flat hitting with G1; with MXP and T05, they go in the net with same motion. Maybe my problem?

I initially preffered T05 and MXP, but once I improved my feel using G1, I prefer G1 due to the flat hitting aspect. Two birds with one stone, for me.
