Fellow engineers must know that cured latex material is the best known product to make up a highly compressible damping underlayer of sponge, super-pooper anti rubber.

The trade name for this fancy latex material is now getting some bestseller on the worldwide market.


Abundance of fancy rubber derivatives currently found on global market is the reason that ITTF gladly welcomed our latest submission that is to eventually deploy the "ID labels" on every sandwich rubber. Yes, we did strongly insisted to stop manufacturers from using fancy materials in making racket coverings anyway. Rubber derivatives and foamed plastics must not be allowed for making sandwich coverings under guise of a standard rubber material.

Thus, a Finger Print Test should be a mandatory part of the racket control, to instantly check "elasticity index" of the sponge material.
The sandwich rubber / sponge that is found to retain finger print after applying force must always be disqualified.

During EQC general video conference here in Doha, FIT representative Mr. Ishimura did expressed the best expectation by FIT that table tennis will grow as a fair, respectable sport with the new regulation of sponge materials. ITTF see no technical difficulties to entirely implement the regulation in two next years, right before the Olympics 2028.
