I have a few 1-ply hinoki blades for sale. I used to play jpen style, so I developed a love for the kiso hinoki wood and carried it with me as I learned to play with other grips. Currently I am using Nittaku Miyabi cpen as my primary blade and I don't see myself going back to the others, so I figured I would sell them.
I like the Nittaku Miyabi mainly because it is larger than other blades -- I am 6'5'' / 195cm tall with big hands, and some of the blades I have are too small for my hands.
If you are interested in any of these, please DM me and I will send photos. Feel free to make an offer. I am open to trades, especially if you have a Stiga Dynasty Xu Xin.
I have 1 handshake blade, 1 cpen blade, and 4 jpen blades for sale. All of them will come with their box. I'll throw some rubbers in too if you'd like. The blades are:
1. Darker Speed 90 - jpen - 9mm thickness - 91g - $250
I used this blade extensively. It has several small, shallow dents around the edges, but no cracks or structural damage. Wings are sanded down a bit, but less than most jpen players sand. It plays extremely fast, and it's medium-dense hinoki. Great for driving to finish the point, but also really nice for looping (especially far from the table). Requires at least intermediate skill level to control the speed. This was my favorite blade when I played jpen. Comes with a mildly-used sheet of Dignics 09c.
2. Darker Speed 90 - jpen - 10.7mm thickness - 106g - $800
This blade is in mint condition. No sanding, never been played with. This blade is no longer in production.
3. Darker Speed 90 - cpen - 9.1mm thickness - 105g - $500
Like new. I tried this blade for one session and decided to not continue playing with it (it is too small for my hands). I can tell that the wood quality is better than my Nittaku Miyabi, but unfortunately my fingers occupy most of the back side of the blade. I would love to use this blade if only my hands were a bit smaller. Very dense and bouncy, compared to other hinoki. No dents, but the wings have been sanded very slightly (just enough to remove the sharp edge). This blade is no longer in production.
4. Butterfly Cypress T-Max - jpen - 10.1mm thickness - 88g - $100
I used this blade to learn with, as it is slower than the Darker blades. Played with it for about a year. It has a few small dents, but no structural damage. It's relatively soft for hinoki. The loops feel extremely good. Driving is not as fast as the Darker blades, but the spin is fantastic. Comes with DHS Skyline 2 if you would like.
5. Nittaku Miyabi - jpen - 9mm thickness - 81g - $100
Like new. I sanded down the wings enough to remove the sharp edge. I played with this blade for 3 sessions. It was incredibly well-controlled, and it allowed me to be very deceptive with my shots by changing the angle at the last second. Great for flicking with the wrist, especially with TPB. Selling because this blade is too small for my hands (the cpen version of this blade is much larger, for some reason). If you like small light blades, this is a great one to choose. This blade has space for gluing rubber for RPB on the back, if you desire. Comes with new Hurricane 3 and Rakza Z for free.
6. Nittaku Miyabi - handshake FL - 9mm thickness - 95g - $100
This blade is nearly new. I sanded down the wing just enough to remove the sharp edge. Played with for one session.
I bought this blade so that I could play with handshake grip more comfortably, but honestly I prefer to play handshake grip with my cpen blade so I am willing to part with this. Comes with a nearly-new Xuperman Powerplay-X rubber.
