I've been playing for around 6 years and chopping for 2ish years now. I play in more regional tournaments with moderate success. I'm currently using the Xiom Vega Japan on my FH on my Nittaku Large Chopper blade with Barna Classic Defense 0.5 on the pips.
I usually go for chops only on the BH, on my FH I prefer to either loop or just do a passive push to throw the opponent off. I want to try some new rubbers because I feel like the Vega Japan wasn't a good fit on a softer but 2 kevlar layer blade like mine. So I'm looking at basically every rubber in the market right now.
Some options on my mind right now are
Jekyll & Hyde C55, V47.5
Andro Rasanter C53 or C48
Andro Hexer (power)grip
Tibhar Evo MX-S or MX-D
Xiom Vega Pro, Vega euro def or one of the new hybrids
DHS Goldarc 5 or 8 or Hurricane 3 soft
Stiga DNA or Mantra
Victas?
I'd like some feedback on rubbers for these slower def blades, especially because most people just try them with hard and fast blades. Should I go for a slower, softer sponge or a hard sponge? Stuff like this lol
