just saw the match in Chinese Super League

FZD vs WCQ:
FZD vs LSD:

also interesting match between Xu Xin and LSD, close win for LSD

Seems like FZD can still be the #1 player in the world if he tried hard in the WTT and ITTF tour

They (the players) don't call the CTTSL "happy hour" for nothing.

Exactly.

Buuuut Xu Yingbin played out of his mind.
He was so freaking fast at the table and got rarely outplayed by FZD.
Im really impressed by his performance.
He has those moments - he had them in League last time and with ML took his team to the Champs... but something is missing for sure... he can't do it on demand and consistently...

What about FZD losing to Xu Yingbin 0-3? Why is that missing?

I suppose because people in this thread are interested in FZD playing the two best current gen CNT players and how that panned out.

I suspect no player will get 100% wins this year so everyone will loose to someone it's more interesting how the top international players fare against each other as it is more representative of who is really the top dog currently in the CNT.

Especially as they all have an intriguing question around the generations of Chinese players.

WCQ is current No1 but recent form was poor and is the best of the current gen

LSD is most consistent top player this year for CNT and a breakaway star internationally and is the best of the new gen

FZD representes the last of the old gen and last playing GrandSlam champion

I get that, I was just being facetious and trying to poke at the FZD fanboys...

honestly, I haven't followed the matches recently, only saw those 3 matches I mentioned so I don't really know his other records. Also, as others have mentioned, it's more interesting to see the result of FZD (who hasn't played any international match for a while) against the current #1/#2 player.

It will continue with the semifinals and finals with the top 4 teams from the group which are WCQ’s team, LSD’s team, FZD’s team and LGY’s team. Ma Long’s team without him just fell short being the 5th.
Tho, I’m surprised Lin Gaoyuan’s team made it. They only had 3 members and Lin Gaoyuan played terribly having a win rate of 20%, 1 out of 5 lol. the youngsters were the MVPs there
When they announce the original squad Ma Long was suppose to be playing but he was playing in the Waldner Cup. So technically he skipped this year CTTSL since his team can no longer play in the next round.

Team owners must be pissed at him right now lol.
