Personally I use a Yinhe 988 penhold blade with Tacky Chinese rubber for forehand and long pimps on the backhand, (for the rarely used RPB). I find this bat very fast and is quite effective when doing a backhand smash, with the tacky chinese rubber making quite a nice arc. However, it really isn't the best bat when playing short game and it doesn't have that kind of crisp feeling of some other bats, especially compared to my dad's old jpen butterfly black 900, made with 1 ply hinoki. It feels a little dead, but it really is quite a good bat for playing offensive slightly nearer to the left of the table and about half an arms length from the table edge. There it shines, and you can see the speed. Plus, this is a VERY good serving bat, when you let loose your grip and almost like just fully supported by your index finger, it has that kind of hinge effect very useful for heavy underpin and even more, a pendulum serve.

Last of all, I need to talk about the price. I bought mine at 49% discount on lazada for 32 SGD. So it's quite a budget friendly bat too.

I would like to hear more people's opinion on Yinhe bats, especially the jpen bats.

Thank you 😊
