German Table Tennis Finals-2025 (Deutsche Tischtennis-Meisterschaft) - the annual German national championship, which will be held for the 93rd time in 2025. The championship is held under the patronage auspices of Deutscher Tischtennis-Bund (German Table Tennis Association, DTTB).
From 6 to 9 June 2025, the Erfurt Fair will be the heart of German table tennis. The championship will be held over four days (6 - 9 June 2025) in Erfurt, Germany. More than 1,000 participants will compete in three competition halls for the prestigious national titles. For the first time, 500 adult players will take part in the German Championship in the Multi-Event format, which debuted in 2024.
Unlike traditional national championships, this event goes beyond the elite level of play and features:
  • German National Championships for adults (men/women);

  • Youth Championships (U15 and U19);

  • 500 veteran players;

  • The best players at the local, district and regional level
The German Table Tennis Finals 2025 (Deutsche Tischtennis-Meisterschaft) is the final part of the annual competition system and determines the German champions in singles, doubles and mixed. Germans registered with regional associations are eligible to participate, as well as foreigners who have been members of a German association for at least three years may also be registered.
Medals will be awarded in singles and doubles for men and women, as well as in mixed doubles.

Selection and Participation Criteria:

Participation in the final stage is ensured through the following methods:

Main Criteria:

  1. Positions in the German DTTB ranking — players with the highest rankings at the time of registration closure.

  2. Regional quotas — top players based on the results of qualifying rounds in federal states (Landesverbände).

  3. Wildcards — up to 4 spots may be granted to young talents or returning players.

  4. Youth category champions (U19) — may automatically qualify for participation.

Additional Requirements:

  • The participant must hold German citizenship or have official permission to represent Germany in international competitions.

  • All players must have a valid DTTB license.

  • A medical certificate (permission to participate) is mandatory.
Tournament Format:

The competition is held in five main events:
  • Men’s singles
  • Women’s singles
  • Men’s doubles
  • Women’s doubles
  • Mixed doubles
Playing System

Depending on the stage of the tournament, matches are played up to 4 games won (second stage of singles) or up to 3 games won (group stage in singles and all doubles events).

Seeding is based on the current national DTTB ranking.

Singles Events

The singles tournament includes 32 men and 32 women.

The singles event is organized in two stages.

In the first stage, seeds 9–32 participate, while the top 8 seeds advance directly to the second stage.

Participants in both men’s and women’s events are divided into 8 groups of 3 players, and only the group winners advance to the second stage.

The second stage uses a single-elimination (knockout) system.

Doubles Events

There are 16 pairs in each of the doubles events.

Mixed and doubles events start directly from the main draw and use a single-elimination (knockout) system.
