as per on facebook - welcome to Taiwan.

Taiwanese people are very friendly and as a "foreigner", you are basically treated like VIP way more than the locals when you visit table tennis centres or any where in the country. This is unlike some countries where as a foreigner, you might fee rejected or unwelcome, Taiwanese people will always welcome you!

We don't really call it clubs, as clubs is something different. (Taiwan does not have table tennis clubs)
We just call it table tennis centre.

You have some that pays membership, (which is just for entry fees into the venue) or like the one you have that is door fee.

NTD150 is above avg.
some are 100, and maybe most expensive is 200.

There are also community centres (gov sport buildings) where it is around 100 per table per hour, but you need to bring your own partner.
Places to play in Taiwan - thousands, many of them are not listed on google map. IE so many housing communities has they own table tennis areas in the basement or some where. I was invited to one, where there were 4 tables, 2 of them setup with more space than an European club league match. Paid 30 door fee, and can play for hours.
There are also some places where it is free to play or very cheap to play (25 per hour).
And almost every single school will have.

Ie, at a pro school, there is a full time table tennis team, where there is 8 tables set up, but space for 10~12. That is only for the team.
Then downstairs, there is 6 tables set up for the rest of the school.
In many schools, there are table tennis team, easy to find 5 to 10 tables in every school

overall, the level is high and I hope you can make a lot more friends

Hi, I recently came to Taiwan and created a youtube channel related to table tennis. So far I enjoyed playing there and documented my first few days. If you want to join me on the journey, here is a link to the video.:D thank you

Great video! I used to visit Chih-Yuan Table Tennis Hall in Kaohsiung in Taiwan and had the opportunity to meet Chuang Chih-Yuan and his apprentices who are already active national players or future national players. You can visit this club to meet them,

Hi Everyone,

I just arrived in Kaohsiung for a holiday break from Japan, looking for any places to play and make some friends with local folks - any recommendations or contacts? Would be much obliged, more so even if there's a place where my daughter (10yo, practicing for about a year) could also make some TT-friends her age.

I had a different experience at CCY table tennis academy, kind of my fault as I went solo without any notice.

I was greeted by one of the apprentices as they were having lunch and they said public not allowed with a cross signal with his hand to be sure. Though as I pre-hydrated ALOT thinking I was about to go into the best army boot camp session of my life, I was disappointed I could only walk around the building and take a few photos of the surrounding mountains. Couldn’t do much exploring as it’s in an industrial area with not much happening. My most vivid memory was my desperation to find a public toilet but luckily I could pay the water bill to some local plants without anyone noticing. Lesson learnt!
