Going from inner to outer carbon blade?

Is there a big difference in going from a inner to outercarbon blade? Currently using a DHS301 but currently im a backhand dominant player, so thinking about getting a FZD ALC / Viscaria. I like to BH topspin rally and BH flick, but I have seen that the outer carbon blades have less feeling to them. Would that have effect on gameplay?

Both the "Inner vs. Outer" and the "All wood vs. Carbon" discussions suffer a little from generalization.

A blade with fibres on the core should have a better feeling than the same construction with the same weight, but fibres below the top plies.
However, in many cases blades of the same name, available as both "inner" and "outer", are different in more than one espect. Quite often the "inner" version would come with Limba top plies as opposed to Koto on the "outer", which probably has an equal or even bigger effect than the positioning of the fibres alone. Thickness also plays a role.

So keep in mind that there isn´t "an inner" or "an outer", there are so many that changing from one to another could be a small or a huge step.

According to some quick research your 301 has Koto outer plies and the same thickness as Viscaria, so giving that one a try seems like the right idea.

This is totally true. One example: the 301T (inner) its almost as faster as a Viscaria (outer)

I recommend ttgearlab analysis to check empirically results about blades.

I played DHS 301 before. It's an incredibly fast inner ALC blade thanks to the hard koto ply. The feel is crisp.

The outer ALC with great feelings are Viscaria and ZJK ALC. Both have good crisp feedback but not too sluggish like FZD or LGY ALC.
