Hi i'm a begginer player, I use penhold grip xu xin style and i'm trying to find a cheap flexible blade with cs for me to practice before purchasing a more expensive blade (probably a stiga allaround classic or something similar). I use hard tacky rubbers on both sides (reactor corbor) and a flexible blade (loki kirin k2) but it has a flared handle and its a bit akward for me as a penhold player. Any recomendations? I saw the koutaku mermaid on aliexpress for a good price but im not sure if the blades have good quality.

Xu Xin style hm? For that get a hard blade, like Yinhe Purple dragon (€20) or Stiga dynasty. With Skyline 2/3 neo (€20)
BUT...

For beginner probably Sanwei Fextra 7 and Hurricane 3 neo are amazing. Very flexible and forgiving to practice all strokes. I liked Rakza 7 soft when I was under Cpen for rpb.

Do what like, a quality blade lasts your whole life!

yoo I also play xu xin style and have been playing like that for a year now. Took a while to find the perfect penhold grip. Im guessing you like the far from table game that xu xin has.
Im not sure bout a cheap racket but try getting something that is not too stiff. Also get xuperman power play x or dhs hurricane 3 for forehand. skyline is not a good option these days, it has less control than hurricane and xu xin also did switch from skyline to hurricane and later to powerplay x ($20 ish)

Xu Xin style is really hard so I do suggest holding off the loops. I don't think skyline would be good in any case these days.

Also getting stiga dinsaty carbon can be a good long term investment
