Grippiest Long Pips Rubber

Hello all, I am looking to buy a long pips rubber for a project and it needs to be able to produce as much spin as possible. Ideally it would be something relatively wallet friendly but I am open to discussions of all budgets. I am also open to any advice of treatments to increase the spin of pips rubbers.

What is the project?

Long pips generally use the opponents spin, rather than generating much spin of their own, but a couple I have tried that have some grip are Sunflex Icebreaker and Hallmark Destroyer.

It might also be worth looking at medium/half-long.
correct.

What the OP is asking for doesn't really make sense.

If they want to vary the spin the chops or be able to chop with heavy backspin or sometimes dead chop, medium or even a short pip would do the trick as there are choppers who use those. With those you can dictate the levels of spin more. LPs tends to just reverse & give back the spin based upon how heavy the loop was coming at you.

LPs are not designed to be grippy. The more grip you go on a LP, the less natural reversal it'll have. If you want grippier pips to make more spin you go shorter in length.

Be like asking for an attacking smooth rubber that doesn't grip the ball well. Inverted rubbers are designed to grip so you can spin & attack. Same by in large with LPs. they're designed to not grip so you get high reversal and it makes chopping easier vs heavy loops.

Perhaps a medium pip type thing is more what I need, something with a little bit of reversal on passive shots but as much spin as possible when trying to add spin.

It is a double pips rackets meant to showcase the most extreme ends of the long pips spectrum, with a low friction pips on one side, and a high friction pips on the other. I guess medium pips might be a good choice for this if long pips are supposed to be lower friction. Please let me know recommendations for something that can generate as much spin as possible while still resembling a long pips style rubber.

Okay but not everyone wants reversal. There's a reason choppers use rubbers like Feint Long II/III, P1/4, with thick sponge. Not all long pips are the same, and some have gripper textured tops, while others are very smooth. While they are obviously not as grippy as other styles of rubber, there absolutely are grippier long pips. OP, I'd consider getting something like Feint Soft in 1.5 thickness. I've used it myself and it you can essentially "loop" with it if you wanted.
