Hi all. I recently tried a few 1 hr sessions using dhs h3 40 degrees unboosted and I LOVED IT. I got massive spin, fantastic control and good speed compared to the rozena. So, now I am looking for a 40 or 39 degree rubber that has at least slight tack and monster grip, is similar in speed to the rozena, but has similar feeling to a h3. Please could you recommend something? Thank you!
What you need is boosted Sanwei Target Pro 3 for bh, or Volant Phoenix

how would hurricane 8 with 2 layers of seamoon compare to dignics 09c?
Probably pretty similar, maybe a slightly lower throw angle than D09c. Don't boost H8-80 though, the sponge will become very mushy. H8 has a better sponge for boosting than H8-80.

Is H8 37° boosted pretty much like H8-80? What would be the benefit of one over the other? I just know H8-80 isn’t that popular due to its weight.

H8 37 needs to be boosted to unlock its potential. 8-80 doesn’t really need booster. Boosted H8 is faster and better at everything except control

I have not fiddled around with other rubbers that much but have you tried Dignics 09c? I mean it's tacky and is faster than h3 neo. I Have been using it for almost a year and it's been amazing for backhand.

Do take my advice with a grain of salt because I have not used Hurricane 3 that much. I am also a penhold player and what works for RPB might not work for shakehands ( I think )

Which rubber is lighter weight ? Boosted H8 37 degrees or H8-80 37 degrees.

Thank you sir.

I have tried the H8 37 commercial, without a booster and with 3 layers of Falco Long.
For me, it's by far the worst rubber I have tried so far on the backhand. It only unlocks speed/spin when you make a thin contact and stand at a perfect place. Which is exactly the opposite of what I want from a backhand rubber--I would rather have a backhand rubber that pardons my flaws.

With or without a booster, the block and flat hits are slow and inaccurate. The rubber is surprisingly spin-sensitive under certain angles, making blocks and chops inconsistent.

Maybe it's just the commercial version or I shouldn't have tried it on an outer carbon blade, but the H8 37 was almost unplayable for me.

H8 37 is extremely light and soft, the cut version was 42g. Even with a booster, it is several grams lighter than non-boosted H8-80 37.

I've thought about it but I have decided not to sell my sofa to buy a table tennis rubber.😁

Has anyone tried Viscaria with H3 on the BH? My feelings for H3 on the BH has really turned a 180 since I initially used it. I've really come to appreciate the massive spin advantage. I might glue a sheet onto my FZD ALC and compare it since it's got D09c on the BH side. Both sides are red, but should be fine just to test things out.

I tried H3N 38 on backhand on Viscaria - and it's just FIRE. The spin is immense and the ball acceleration is solid.

The only downside is the need to play with the closed vat angle, as it doesn't forgive being late to your shot. You gotta work for every shot, but the spin is levels above any conventional backhand rubber.

The day I increase my footwork massively in the future, I will switch to H3N 38 on backhand, but until then I need something more forgiving.

I am using H3N 37 on BH. Spin and power is really top notch. It requires me to be nice and relax to get the acceleration needed which can be challenging during clutch points.

Currently waiting for more reviews on victas v15 sticky before I make the jump
