Help! DHS Long 2, 3 or 5?

I need help! :) I'm planning to buy a Ma Long blade because it has great reviews and in a way similar to the feel of my DHS pg13 blade. Still undecided between Long 2,3,& 5 though. They all have great reviews. In the Table Tennis Database, Long 2 has the highest rating, and a bit expensive than Long 3 and 5, but I haven't watched any video reviews of it. DHS Long 3 though, has lower ratings compared to Long 2. But it has better control than Long 5, and the reviews are great. They're not cheap blades so I want to make sure before I purchase one.
Any thoughts on the differences of the blades in performance and build quality, etc.? Thanks! :)

i've played all of whis blades including Hurricane Long 1.
Long 2 - solid, very fast, very hard, not lot of control
Long 3 - much control, a bit flexible, fast blade with great feeling of the ball.
Long 5 - the fastest blade, very flexible because of thickness, not very controlable like others, but it has as much control as possible with that speed.

I vote for Long 3 - big chance to get used to it.
PS: BTW i sell HL3 at this forum. ;-)

Agave sums it up pretty well,

Just to add more info, 5 is a carbon similar to innerforce series while 3 is all wood. My coach claims 2 isnt that great
compared to 3 as its too fast and hard without an appropriate level of control. 5 is actially quite slow for a carbon. Its main attraction comes from the great feel, control and power you can generate compared to most other composites. But eventhou its slower than most composite, its fast enough to win a point.

Therefore choosing between 3 and 5 is basicly choosing between all wood vs carbon. I personally think 3 is a bit overprice for an allwood but its a good blade either way. Hope this is helpful

Wow, thank you Sir for that insight. You know well what you are talking about since you tested them all well. :)
I'll keep it in mind. :)
How about the BIG sweet spot they are talking about? Does HL5 have the same big sweet spot like HL3?

Thanks! :) Sir, how about the build quality? Is Long 5 better than Long 3? I read a post that one member here broke his HL3 bat while playing.

You know, for my opinion HL5 very good blade and have a big sweet spot because of carbon layer(carbon layer use to do it, make sweet spot bigger)
but with hl3 you feel like arm(wrist) playing. it is very good feel! and the quality is great all of HL series. almost hand made.

Ok, so I've narrowed it down to 2. HL3 and HL5. :)
a Pricey all wood blade with a perfect control or a fast, carbon blade which give justice to its price but is not as perfect control as HL3?

let me change that, Hurricane long 3 or Hurricane B-2 should be the option, the only differences really are the red card, and that the FL HL series are cone round flares and the B series are more traditional flattened flares, but to me its worth saving 80+ euros. HL3 is excellent and great feel, very fast but awesome touch.. Hurricane B-2 is very similar but faster, a bit harder and less feedback, if you use tensioned rubber HL3 is perfect if you use slow rubber HL5/B2 is also perfect but for me even sriver g3 with hl5 is too quick let alone tenergy esque rubbers

aww, so It's a new blade from DHS? DHS Fang Bo 2? So is it the same as Long 5?

same make up apparently slightly harder top ply but next to no difference for the price, remember fang bo used hl5 for quite a while

Interesting. I'll definitely look into that. I see that you are using Hurricane b-2. So how is it?
and How about the Hurricane Bo (1), is it similar to HL3? :)

DHS Fang Bo Pith-film carbon look like hl5, but is it the same size of blade? that's very important part.
but, it much more cheaper.

actually the HL5 isnt the same size as all HL5s, there are two sizes with the newer one bieng smaller than the old as they were based off different sized pro baldes(was it w997 and w968 or smth) i belive the B2 is the same size as the new smaller headed one.
