Yo, im a 13 years old table tennis player. Joined a tournunament today and we hit rank 3 with my team. Even if thats not bad it isnt really enough. My coach said we were better than them, you paniced. Whatever, how can i develop faster with my friend? There is a place to play table tennis near my house. There is a coach can multi-ball to me. What should i do?

Practice as much as humanly possible. Pros spend 1 hour a day serving. 1 hour a day on physical training. Then they usually have 2 separate 3 hour practice sessions.

Practice.
Practice.
Practice.
Also use your head. If you keep missing certain shots, figure out why and practice those shots. Don't just practice what you are good at. Practice what you are bad at and don't be afraid to look like an idiot during training.

Hi
I would say the best thing is to develop a good training plan and ensure you are doing enough drills in practice while putting emphasis on technique and footwork - forget about match results for a while and get the basics well drilled, the match results will come later.

If you can nail down those basics as a 13 yr old you'll be 10-30+ years ahead of many of us in here.
The fact that you have a coach already will obviously help you develop but consistent training sessions, and using that time as productively as you can, is how you develop fast!

For a training plan and great info about approaching training, warm ups etc check out Racket insight.

Good luck kid 👍

Watching many teens in my club rising in ranks fast, they all share something in common - 1:1 training at least a few times a week and play all tournaments.

Training escalate your technique development.

Tournaments improve your mental strength.

If you want to become good, play often, or play effective drills, or get a good coach.

If you want to become pro, you have to do all of these things.
Eat, sleep, school, TT. Make sure you have a coach you can trust in serving you a highly effective training program. Train whenever, wherever, and get a sparring partner you can rely on.
Maximize your results by applying laser focus to your training. Select areas to train on together with your coach. Film yourself, analyze, get critical. Build your strong points, cover your weaknesses.

But above all else, your heart needs to be in it. There will be bad days, there will be crap weeks, tournaments you wish you hadn't played. Take the lessons from those with you, and let the bad stuff slide off, slowly if you need to, but fast if you can.
Enjoy the sh*t out of the process, fall in love with not just the sport but the whole package of professional athletics.

Watch the youtube matches of the top pros, analyze their stance and footwork. Video your own matches and see if you spot how you are doing things different from the pros especially in footwork and preparation, shot selection and placement. If you have the mind to figure this out and can emulate the pro footwork at least, you are well on your way. There is a good reason the pros always stay low during the point and adjust their distance and position from side to side preemptively depending on where they place the ball and how their opponents are doing their own preparation.

Find a coach that has a deep understanding of the game that can help you develop in that aspect. It’s just as important to put hours into training as to develop your understanding & fundamentals knowledge of table tennis. You will spend many hours in vain if you’re practicing incorrect technique. Also try to use equipment that doesn’t do the job for you. You need a rubber such as hurricane Neo 3 commercial, where you need correct technique to hit a quality ball onto the table.
