A little late to the party but I really like the DJ40+ ball. Everyone at my club swears by nittaku and it's like pulling teeth to get then to give it an honest try but every one who can notice the difference prefers the DJ40+.
To me, it plays soooooo much more stable. It's weird but the ball feels softer than the nittaku, almost like the difference between hard and soft sponge rubbers 🤷♂️
In warm ups, my buddy and I who are about the same level can run fast, off the bounce BH to BH at least 3x longer than with the nittaku (I think our longest was 109 hits)... I dunno, it's weird but it feels like the ball stays on the paddle longer than all the other balls I've tried so it's easier to control.
In games, it feels a lot easier to grip the short ball with a brushy shot and pull it over the net as well as create arc when FH looping from 2+ meters of the table. Maybe it's just my lack of competency that I'm so affected by different brands' balls but it's really just how it feels to me.
Durability is pretty good imo. My last ball, I've used it for about 50+ hours (rally and games) and it was still good enough where I felt confident giving it to a friend to compare it with his nittaku ball. I would also like to add that (I think?) we hit reasonably hard when we practice counter looping... Enough to dig into the sponge of 41° H3N and R48 and get that satisfying cracking sound.
And it's cheaper than the nittaku ball, which people around me say is the standard by which all TT balls are judged. (About $13 USD for 6, ~$2.17/ball atm)
TLDR - I really like the DJ40+. It (somehow) builds confidence...
