Hello there,
I've been using the h3n boosted for quite some time and it's my favorite rubber, but the boosting part is quite a harssle.
Having to boosting from x to x months/weeks it's fine and I quite enjoy the process, but I've my FH rubber rejected by the inspection recently and had to use a older one.
After that, I'm looking for a rubber that's tacky enough, doesn't require the boosting process and has a decent durability (I'm playing for about 20hrs weekly).

That said, I've considered these options:
  1. Dynarys ZGX
  2. Bluestar A1
  3. Tibhar K3
  4. DragonGrip
I've tried the d09c for a brief period, but the price is prohibitive here where I live.

When using the h3n, the only downside that I usually feel is when I'm against someone that doesn't have much power or plays with pips/anti, I've to be in a good position otherwise the quality of my attack reduces a lot. Because of that, I think something that helps me with the power generation in these situations would be a great.

So, what would you recommend me to try it out?

EDIT: forgot the question...

The 4 you listed are very similar. I find Dragon Grip to be marginally the best of the bunch though.

What's your opinion about the durability? Do you have recommendations that I've left outside the list?
For example, I just remembered about the Xiom's new C55
Never tried C55. I've tried Andro C53, Xiom Omega China, Dynaryz ZGR, Donic Bluegrip C2.

Honestly they are all pretty similar. I find DG to be slightly more responsive. I use it for both FH and BH and it works well for both.

It seems normal durability. I don't notice anything specially good for bad about its durability.

What about the speed when exerting less power? Also do you know how it compares with the c53?
I think A1 at less power its bouncier. There isn't alot of difference in hardness but it feels softer and easier to engage at lower end. C53 unfortunately.... I haven't used really so tricky to compare on that one.

Loki Arthur China. No boosting needed. C55 is not really tacky and is way faster at lower hitting speeds than LAC or H3 and can be uncontrollable in some situations. During matches the C55 over speed was not an issue for me.

I've tried the d05 on the forehand and the initial was fine for everything except looping an backspin 3rd ball, but I assume that's because I'm quite used to the h3n. That said, I think the faster initial speed would be great for me.

And when you've against someone who does have power or doesn't play with pips/anti, you don't need to be in a good position to ensure quality of your attack? Really?

i maybe think what matteroftime means: if the ball has no spin and speed you need to generate your own pace and if you used to using or borrowing the other persons pace and quality this could be challenging for some. i have some members in my club that hate to warm up with a basic drive and start directly with topspin, because they never learned that motion properly and they are the same that struggle a lot with anti/pips and high balls, too. and i can imagine with a rubber like hurricane 3 that has no pace of it's own and needs a proper swing really shows that missing stroke. tensor rubbers help du to their catapult effect, that even if the stroke is not right and you just poke the ball they can at least put it on the table.

Rubbers that fix this problem have not been invented yet.

Inability to play against no spin/slow balls cannot be fixed with faster equipment.
that is totally right and i am on your side btw would always suggest not changing the rubber and just getting a coaching session for that money. but since i know a lot of people that don't want to go through the frustration of learning new stuff and just want to have fun and play it could be a solution to get a slower but bouncier rubber like modern hybrids as rasanter C48, Bluestar A2 or Tibhar Hybrid MK Pro.
but then you also need to except all the other takeoffs you will have and adaptations you need. so back to 1. just learn the proper stroke :p
