So hi guys, I boosted my new H3 BS 39 with 2 layers of Haifu Seamoon Yellow today. It feels softer. However, I still need the topsheet to be a little bit more elastic. One feature I notice is that in my H3 BS 40.5, on my Viscaria is boosted 2 layers of black Haifu and reboosted 1 and reglued many times, it is really elastic; the topsheet lets the ball sink in really well.
This H3 BS 39 is on a super vis structure blade (ZQH 90) so I think a softer topsheet or hybrid rubber will suit it better. Can anyone recommend any formula for me to cook the rubber? : DDD

Boost it again?

sidenote - are these commercial sheets? The two commercial 39d sheets I had reacted incredibly different to booster. The first one became lively pretty much right away, the second one never did. I eventually tried to overboost it but it never got to the point where the topsheet turned reactive. Some sheets just suck.

Just break it in. 2-4 hours of play and it should be broken in=softer and more elastic.
Yea, get Yinhe roller from CNT. It is designed to prepare a hard rubber in a hour.

They don't make commercial grade H3 with #22 sponge

then I suggest you put 3 layers on.
if you are worried the 3rd layer is too much, then put white glue on after the 2nd layer, and then put the 3rd booster on, 1 hour after the white glue.
Yeh i think i need another layer. Will try and see.
Also, I boosted 2 haifu black layers for the sheet, should i do 1 more layer of nat black or use 1 layer of regular haifu seamoon?
Some ppl upthere is awkward, what is wrong with finding a feeling that you like from the last boosting, just tryin to keep thing consistent for playing and training.

If you're trying to find a consistent feeling, either don't boost at all or go completely scientific, in a temperature and humidity controlled environment with exact amounts.
Boosting is handwork, human variance is always going to be in it.

In general, the new Hurricane 3 needs to be broken in well. Over time, this itself becomes softer, old H3 become very soft.
If you want to soften the topsheet faster, then you can use Vaseline oil. I apply a few drops and rub it with my hand several times until the oil is completely absorbed. Excess oil can be absorbed with a paper napkin. It is better to apply a little bit than a lot, since it will be impossible to remove the excess softness from the oil later.
After this procedure, you need to let the rubber rest for a few hours. Vaseline oil can reduce the stickiness of the topsheet, so it is advisable to wipe the rubber with a cleaner and cover it with a protective sheet.
