Your smashes aren't bad... But this looks like a very casual attitude to the game. I haven't seen much spin in your game at all, and I'm pretty sure you are able to smash only cuz ur opponent keeps returning the ball high. I see no footwork whatsoever, so yeah I agree with @Gozo Aruna saying you play good but as a hobby/ basement player. If u want advice, well learn basic strokes like the topsin, and focus on your placement. Maybe join a coaching, practice footwork. The technique for your smash is really bad btw, you jump and smash as if it's volleyball. You just lose your balance this way and once your smash returns you easily lose the point.

That's what I keep telling him :/, why does he return it high

I can tho, maybe it's cuz I'm not in my coaching session :/

I am :)

Oh yeah xD I usually don't, I do it for fun ehe. But when I play serious I don't.

My topspin is good, and it's accurate too :)
Thx for the review

Not sure if you are doing table-tennis or dancing, it sure look different to mine.
Looks like you have a knack of pissing off players inferior to you.

Like I said, I was playing. I wasnt doing multiball or drillings. And you know I only train once a week, since october. This adds to like barely a month of total training.

I want genuine critisism, not some guy with a superiority complex

I too was doing once a week as well.

You mentioned in an earlier post you have been playing for a year already and now you say since Oct last year.

Sorry mate, I am confused.

There's a thread in here somewhere for people to post their games and only verified members can respond to the video.
Gozo was only joking so it might be better to post there to avoid further jokes being mis-received.
I don't know the thread name exactly but I'm sure someone can find it for you.

BTW, I can't view the video. Have you taken it down, or made it private?

Alright, I'll sum it up. If you want some actual advice, give us an actual clip of you playing actual table tennis. In your clip u seem to be goofing around jumping around like a kangaroo smashing the ball. That isn't table tennis and infact, playing like that will reset your progress overtime. U seem to believe that not bending and what evidently looks like walking is "footwork". No it's not. I'm sure you play very well and whatever else you think, but that does not reflect in the clip. So yes, you want advice post a clip where you're actually serious.

If this was true, maybe you could try and actually recognize the criticism you've received rather than bouncing it back.

thank you, but what is wrong with my stroke? It looks... off.. :|

There's no posture, no focus, you're not doing anything structural that will allow you to repeatedly train a good stroke.

My recording

In the video I am using a Yinhe T8s, Joola Rhyzen ZGR (Black, forehand) and Loki T3 (Red, backhand)
You could be playing with a Golden Viscaria but that doesn't fix the basics.

My advice, if you actually want to take it:

You look like you're goofing off. If you usually do better than that, record that instead.

You're more focused on the camera than the play.

Make sure you and your friend can play FH to FH at least 50x. No high balls, nothing fast or fancy, just make it a little game. 50x is a very low bar here, if you make it go to 100x, 200x and then as far as you want.

White ball vs light wall and light shirt is horrible. Because everything else is light I'd say get a couple of orange balls.

Stop wasting precious money on gear. At this stage you'd be just as well off with an old premade as you'd fare with your current setup.
Keep your current bat and use it for at least another year. Don't change the blade for another 5 years, don't change rubbers unless they're broken and replace it with something as close as possible.

Also, without the context of seeing what the other player does, it's even harder to judge what you do.

Don't listen to Gozo, he was given perfect balls to train with, You are not...

You are not consistent, You hit the ball a a different distance from Your body. One reason for this is that Your partner places the ball all over the place....

You should try to hit the ball (a little) in front of the body. It would have been easier with a better training partner or maybe this is a return board, then I understand why. The return board isn't that great if You are not consistent.

This is pretty much all you need to hear.

Too little info to be able to advise properly. Get yourself a coach if you really want to improve.
