G’day gang,
I am currently using Rakza Z with long pimples on an allround speed blade, and developing a style with lots of twiddling so I can attack with the smooth rubber on both sides while using the pimples to disturb and slow down the game.
I am really enjoying the Rakza Z and the benefits of a tacky rubber on the FH for most things (although feels like my smash has gotten a bit worse), but I’m unsure it’s right for my backhand. I sometimes top spin with my backhand, but a lot of the time when I twiddle I am doing a lot of punching, active blocking and aggressive driving which I feel aren’t the Rakza Z and it’s sticky topsheet’s strength.
So I’m asking you… And a question relevant to those not using pimples! If you had to use the same rubber on both sides of your blade for an ‘all-round’ style, what would you choose and why? Tacky or grippy?
Thanks!
