I got myself a blade (Haitian HC52), a shirt and a pair of shorts from @mocker88.

Our mail service is slow so I haven’t got it yet. It will be a while until I get use the blade, but I want to stack up on blades with hinoki or spruce top sheets.

Cheers

How is the Haitian? What made you decide on this brand?

I'm thinking of getting the Haitian Long 5

Haven’t got it yet it’s in transit. It will be a while before I test it. I don’t have a Chinese blade yet and I saw it had a hinoki top sheet, Canadian (probably plain old cypress but still) I saw it on @mocker88 Christmas sale. I can give a review on the craftsmen ship when it arrives but you gonna have to wait for a test report.

Just picked up my Haitian HC-52.
Came loose no box = cheap company. If don’t think your products are worth the protection in an even rudimentary box you are cheap… Nothing special, pretty small handle. A tiny amount of time has been spent to smooth the wing edges. Surface is looks good except for the graphic. You can feel it with your fingers. Specially the O in carbon which is a 2cm circular spot in the middle, wonder what it does to the feel. When I knock my knuckle on it it gives a deader sound than the surrounding areas. I think someone in their design department should think again…

Maybe I’m just picky but this blade was over $50…

Edit: It felt pretty stiff so I measured the thickness ~6.1mm.
It’s actually pretty nicely built shame on the box and maybe I am overreacting about he graphics…

2:nd edit; The blade is rated all+, I seriously doubt this. A bounce test say a really crisp and fast blade maybe even off+. The closest blade I compare it too is my Nittaku Hino 5.2.2… It’s gonna be very interesting to test because the wood quality is definitely high.
