Hi all,

I have a cheap 5 ply limba ayous basic blade from aliexpress for 10 dollars. I upgraded to Fang Bo B2 and found it too fast. I am finally have some money for some better euro rubber. I felt a little bit weird go use some 40 dollars rubber on some 10 dollars blade. So I just wonder if v5 pro is a good option, seem to be for cheap blade it is the most highly rated (is it a off-, off , or off+ ?), but I am afraid it might be too fast for me . Or should I go down to slower fextra, pg7 or w6. thanks a lot for your help. And out of these 3 which one would you guys suggest. Thanks

Fextra is great if you can get one thats not too heavy.
Yinhe U2 is also great, I have not tried the other one you mentioned.
Recently I bought Loki Kirin K7 is also a great Clipper clone. But its stiffer than the Fextra and U2. Coming from a slower 5 ply I think all of them are fine options.
V5 pro is faster than those three, it has more control than the fang bo, but id say its almost as fast.

So many questions...

What was the first blade? Which rubbers were on it?
What makes you feel the Fang Bo is "too fast"? Do your attacks go long? Pushes? Blocks?
How much do you play? Do you have a club and/or coach to support your development? How long have you been playing with each racket?
Have you tried anyone else's bat to see what you like?

First blade is a cybershape 10 dollars blade from aliexpress , it is boli (same company as boer) smash pro, I am assuming it is stiga allround classic cybershape clone. The rubber on it is battle 3 and focus sniple 3, I also have battle 3 and skywing on the bo 2 , the main issue is that I have problem getting the ball on the table, i either hit long or net. I just play 2 times a week at club as round robin. I just want a blade that I can have some fun with that help me balance a bit with the speed and control

I look at the U2, it look very good, only down side is I really want a straight handle (no specific reason, just want to try sometimes other than flare) , but I assume that is the one I am going to go for. Thanks you for your help. based on what you say, look like fextra qc is iffy, so yinhe product quality is in general better than Sanwei?

Does itvhave to be chinese? I can also recommend donic persson powerplay. It's also a thin 7 ply and is available in ST. It's also not much more expensive than the others. It's not as headheavy though if that matters to you.

I bought mine also from Japan via @Catenaccio on this forum.
It's an excellent blade if you like the soft feeling. Not good with too bouncy rubbers, IMHO cause the blade has some trampoline in it :)

Also very good.. BTY Korbel, if I had to choose between Korbel and Violin I wouldn't know which one to choose. Maybe the Korbel, less flex then the violin.

To answer the question in the title BTW:

I feel that all Limba/Ayous/Ayous/Ayous/Limba blades are the same as long as we're talking similar thickness.
There will be variances of course, but nothing extreme. The feeling is similar, behaviour is similar, one might flex a little more than the other, sweet spot may be different but that's going to be it.

As for Korbel (which is limba/limba/ayous/limba/limba)
I now have a Japan 88g and Euro 78g.
Huge difference, but also not. The blades share a lot of things and switching between them is absolutely minimum effort.
Japan is, indeed, better finished and has a more solid feel, but either one is unmistakably Korbel.

If you decide to stick with it, I'm sure you will get used to the Fang Bo in a few weeks. It's just adaptation.

I see. I will stick with my chinese rubber for now. And I will get one of Korbel or Tibhar Power wood when I am in japan depending on the price. Thank for your insight.
