I bought a dhs hurricane king wang chuqin and the serial number is on the surface of the blade, not the handle. Is this a fake or is this a new design from dhs. Also, people say that there is a red card but it is a white sticker on the plastic film. The serial number on the white sticker and on the blade are the same, im guessing thats a good sign? Also, the weight of it on the white sticker says its 85g +-1 but online, i find it around 90g is this bad?
Thanks

Nah, +/-1, 85g is 100% mistake. It should be +/-1 90g. DHS inner carbon blades are about this heavy. Also, QC sucks especially with this blade, so I can imagine everything. I’m 100% sure it’s real
Serial number is now on surface, that’s correct. But 5g deviation from card to reality is strange…
Sorry about image quality, it looks 86 but its 85. Also sorry about bluring out the serial number, im not sure if it should be shared. Thanks

Ah I thought you had 90g on the scale…
This is no problem. The wcq blades are mostly on the light side and somewhere in the high 80s.
It looks fine

Based on the photo, does the blade look authentic? The gold sticker looks a bit funny, or is it just me, does it look like a proper dhs sticker. Also, is it bad that the blade is 5g lighter than normal, does it affect its performance?

Based on the photo it looks genuine to me. I have the same type of photo for mine. That it is 5g lighter than average and advertised is unusual, but not really a sign of being a fake. It is stated on the card and matches the blade.
So its normal for a dhs blade to be 5g lighter than normal/average? Do you have the same blade as me? Can you share a picture please?

For DHS I acutally don't know how their production is varying. For other brands I did also see this variation (+/- 5g variation). The DHS blades I own/ordered were HL5 (91g), HL5 Golden Slam (88g) and WCQ (90g), but this is what I specified before ordering. Not sure if the seller would also have 85g in stock.
