I understand that the Viscaria is actually smaller than Chinese head sizes. I believe Viscaria is 157x150mm. My blades from Stuor, DHS, Sanwei all seem to share a common size, and seem to be larger than Viscaria. I guess they might be 160x150.

I'm pretty exclusively using Chinese-made blades these days, so I don't know about other brands. Is there a general standard of head size?

Are all Chinese blades typically 160mm? And all non-Chinese blades 157mm?

You can't really describe the head shape by just 2 linear numbers though. A rubber cut to Viscaria is about the same weight as one cut to the HL5, for example, despite being ~3mm shorter. This is because the Viscaria's wings are much bigger due to the much more gradual taper down to the handle.

I actually don't care about the wings, some of my rubbers don't reach all the way to the wings. I'm more concerned about the height of the blade and whether the rubber reaches to the top of the blade head.

I don't think that there is a Chinese head size. Loki Speed and CNF are spot on 157 mm x 150 mm, same as my 729 Blue Arylates, 729 Z-1, 729 F-1 or Sanwei Fextra One. DHS blades usually a bit longer, some Butterfly blades like Korbel or Ovtcharov Innerforce ALC are both longer and wider (158 mm x 152 mm)

Yeah that's more important to me as well. The top affects both the weight balance and the reach, whereas I don't use the very end of the wings very often.
